Yoda should of been in the PT, but he shouldn't of had the kind of screen time he had.  Yoda was the head of the Jedi Council, thats pretty important.

I see no reason why we need a digital Yoda in the OT.  If you think about it, why did Yoda need to be CG in the PT?  Cause of pointless duels.  He should of been the same freakin puppet from the OT when he was in the Temple.

The idea of a CG Yoda was a good one, but CG isn't good enough yet.

It is weird that we go from CG to puppet. Mabey someday, CG will take a huge leap and GL will put a consistent, real looking CG Yoda in all 5 movies.

I know he's the head of the JC. But how does he impact the story? In other words, you couldn't take Padme, Kenobi, or Anakin out because they're tied directly to the storyline.

But Yoda? For the amount of screen time he has, his connection to the story is really weak.

I don't think they should of taken him out, I think they should have give him something more important to do.In TPM he served as a counter to Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in the training of Anakin but so did Windu.

I just don't see a story purpose for half of the main "characters" in the PT.

Yoda doesn't have much purpose until ROTS. He was just empty fan calories.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

In ROTJ, can we please get rid of all the shots where we see Ewok arrows going right through Stormtrooper armor? I know that the armor doesn't have a particularly good reputation for durability in the movies, but I always felt like seeing it punctured by arrows was way too much. Overall, I'd like to see the Imperials on Endor being much more of a threat, and the Ewoks' tactics against them being much less effective. In terms of believability, at best I see the Ewoks being a nuisance that acts as a diversion for the Rebel commandos, but not an actual threat to the imperial forces.

I agree with making the stormies(the "best troops") more of a threat and the initial ewok attack catching them by surprise, only to have the stormies counterattack and chase the ewoks into the forest

But I disagree with not having the ewoks be effective at the end. That would undermine the whole theme of technology losing out against the low-tech ewoks.

But what needs to happen is more tactical attacks by the ewoks once the stormies are deep in the forest. Like the ewoks expected them to chase them and then they go into the forest and all hell breaks loose as far as catapults, gliders, and rocks and slingshots.

It actually makes sense that the ewoks kicked the stormtroopers asses. All we seen them do in the OT was miss every single thing they aimed at, bump their heads and nearly lose their helmets and burn down the Lars homestead, which I'm guessing was due to one of the troopers tripping over a BBQ.

Have you ever looked through a stormtrooper helmet? Any member of the 501st knows why they cant shoot the little folkers even if they wanted too.

I ve never thought that in the new clone wars episode they actualy used a dropped concept paint for the tydirioum class shuttle.

Im impressed and i can say that this bulkier design fits for a cargo ship for ROTJ:R

Quick thought. the scene in ROTJ where luke and vader are dueling and luke jumps up to the catwalk. I thought it would be interesting if he did not turn off his saber.

In fact in the earlier scene I think it would be better if he did not turn it off as Vader walked up the stairs.

Could work.

Yoda said:

A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defence. Never for attack.

And elsewhere, Jedis activate their lightsabres to show that they are not defenceless, and to try to warn off an attack; in ANH:R, Adywan made the significant change of having Vader waiting for Obi-Wan with his sabre turned off, and Obi-Wan activating his first. Of course, unless Yoda or Obi-Wan specifically told him of this, Luke wouldn't know it, but Vader is definitely right in calling him unwise.

Exactly why did Ady make this change?

Luckily if the change was made with Luke's saber still be ignited, the line that Vader says could still be accurate. With Luke's saber down( but still lit) his defenses are down.

these were the two instances I was referring two where I do no think Luke should have his Saber deactivated.

Is there something that can be done about these awfully boring view screens

I  was thinking that the inner most circle can represent Hoth and the outter rings representing something along the lines of fireing range of the ion cannon. You could have a image of the Star Destroyers in the system on the view screen. When she says standby it could be as the destroyers are approaching the outer ring.

The top image in the diagram below would be ideal minus all the details. More of a bright solid outline with a transparent shade as the inside.

Its a start. I just feel, especially after what Ady did to the war room in ANH that something has to be done.
