I'll second that.
lol you guys are funny...I'm a bit busy at the moment...i have several projects i'm jumping back and forth between now...including: pretty much the last have of ROTS (trying to figure out how everything should go down...i still think keeping Vader a secret is possible) and an entirely new scene for TPM! :D

I'm with you all the way on that point. I'm just not sure if it can be done with the available footage. I look forward to what you come up with.

Yep I hear you on that...I'm not sure yet either. ;) what I have now I *know* will have to be manipulated quite a bit...rotoscoping and such...but i do think it could work.

well simple rotoscoping can be done. that is doable. but if were talking about creating new elements, that's something else entirely. That's the thing about many of these edits: enhancing things with roto and paint work is one thing, but creating new elements is much more difficult.

You are definantly correct on this. This is something that concerns me with what Adywan is doing for ESB:R. Believe me, I want the newly filmed elements to work-... probably more than anyone else...but getting it to look seemless...well, that's the trick. :D

Earlier today I was on the phone to my godson who has recently become a big Star Wars fan and his suggestion is to give the Rebels on Endor more weapons.
They have troops, they have a supply ship, they expect an Imperial presence (all be it not an entire legion) and it is a vital mission so it makes sense they would take more than just a few rifles and pistols.
The Ewoks should be the counterforce to the extra troops not to the anticipated enemy personnel.
Something like smaller portable versions of the dish guns on Hoth would be handy and could collapse down and carried by the Tydirium task force.
There doesn't need to be more weapons, but more rebels/troopers. Just because the Emperor says he has assembled his best fleet of troops doesn't mean that it is one fleet. He could of meant his best fleet and hundreds more troopers. You could give the best fleet a red stripe on them like the ones from ROTS and have them be the last ones standing, then have the others normal.
You could even change Palps line to "I have sent all my troops" instead of "I have sent my best fleet." I'd like to see overview shots of Endor to make the battle look larger. That would help alot.
That's daft, sorry but it is.
The Empire spans an entire Galaxy I doubt if all the Empire's troops would fit on Endor, they certainly wouldn't be able to hide long enough for them to spring a trap on the Rebels (by the way he doesn't mention his fleet only that he has sent an entire Legion of his best troops).
Who would keep the rest of the Galaxy in line while they are off on this mission?
A Legion is 1000 troops and command personnel and that is on top of the troops that the Rebels would expect to find at such an important site.
So the second wave of troops should be beefed up a lot but the Rebels should come with enough equipment to take out the troops they expect to find, especially on an all or nothing mission like this one.

That's alot better way to put it. Yes your right about all the troops, it wouldn't work, I just want to see another legion.

Maybe someone could do an edit showing storm troopers behind every tree on Endor. And I mean EVERY tree.

They're pretty big trees. You can get two at least!

Yes but we don't see close to 1000 stormies outside the bunker. This should be corrected. We need to see this legion of elite troops.

I just want to see A Legion, period. We don't come close in the existing film.
That and a LOT more ewoks..... like ZULU (the film) level of ewoks.

u see a lot when they first come out, but it all narrows down to like ten troopers a shot

That's what I was getting at. I just didn't explain it well.
They do run for cover very quickly which is bizarre behavior for best troops, especially when facing guys aimed mostly with bows, arrows and rocks (that armour hardly deflects blaster fire so it should at least give them some protection against impacting objects).
Every time I watch it I'm reminded of King Arthur and his knights shouting "Run Away!" in Monty Python And The Holy Grail.
Seeing as most stormtroopers and AT-ST's look the same it should be possible to keep some of them there and still have others running (presumably giving chase rather than running away at first).
As the battle gets more intense and the Ewoks start using captured materiel and the Rebels crack out bigger guns then we should see them taking cover.
Ewoks with throwing axes would be a good addition (they could get in the gabs between the armour plates).
It would be cool to see a stormies head fly off because of a throwing weapon or a booby-trap.
The armour and the fauna does allow a little give when it comes to violence, it needn't be Tom Savini but it should be more effective than silly shots of Ewoks smacking Stormtroopers with sticks.
Perhaps something like a throwing star but made of wood with bone or stone inserts could also be used.
Weapons like that common throughout history and across the world and turn up in lots of films so perhaps it might be possible to sample from other films.
They travel rather quickly so it might be possible to get away with CGI for the weapons in flight.
The Ewoks may have made use of metal they had found while fighting the Imperials and have some captured weapons which the Rebels have given them a bit of training with.
Just an idea, would it be good to see Ben's Ghost again in ESB? Mabey a shot of him looking on at him on Hoth from a distance. Or mabey at Dagobah watching Luke train?

I second Vaderios' question.
Not sure, I thought you guys could work off from it. I've heard ideas about Qui-Gon being added (which I'm opposed to), so I just brought up the idea of Ben's ghost being added somewhere in the movie.
It's already in the movie, though ...
i think he's refering to putting in another scene with Obi-Wan. the couple times we see him is enough i think. not that there's anything bad about him.
Double post.
