Not me. Mr. Mock-up wins the kudos yet again ;-)

Though the idea works well in every aspect of life. Revisited work, revisited the keyboard, revisited waking up, revisited eating a meal, revisited the mother-in-law (shudder)!

Lifes a bit shitty really...

Will we see the planet that the DS orbited in ANH Revisited again?  Where could it be shown later in the trilogy?

There is really no point of it, but mabey someone could have a cool idea to do something with it.

Well unless there's a valid reason to see it again, then no. It's not really even very relevant in Revisited, as we know absolutely nothing about it, but I guess it gives some place for the Death Star to be other than floating in space.

Possative response yet again....

Yavin is a bit of a none identity planet, and thats why the rebels may have been drawn to it in the first place. Its a big solar sytem out there with a lot of planets with a lot of moons, but i hate the revisiting of Tatooine constantly throughout the saga.

Ghost was talking about the blue planet Adywan added for Revisited.

Next time you try to be smart with me, don't make an ass of yourself.

You need to stop pestering specific members of these forums. It doesn't do any bit of good and only fosters animosity.

So let Venal state his opinion and state yours.

Yep, indeed. Reiterates my my original point. I just hate constant negativity though.

Mee Bad.

Well, if everyone here *loved* everything about the SW films we wouldn't be here would we? Negative force can sometimes be a catalyst for positive force.

But you are right. We may never see them just like we may never see the CG Yoda for TPM ILM did years ago.

Actually, more clips of that are on the way via Star Wars in Concert.

Really? I didn't know they were using that.

On one of the specials about the concert, there was a part about Lucas' first impression of the production.  During his viewing of it, while sitting next to the show's head guy, Lucas leaned over and noted that the screen was using the "old Yoda", meaning the puppet.  This was during the U.K run.  For the new U.S tour, digital Yoda is being used.

Digital Yoda will inevitably replace the puppet in The Phantom Menace in a future re-release. I just hope they don't replace the wonderful puppetry in Empire and Jedi. At least the Jabba puppet in Jedi would probably be too expensive and too difficult to replace completely with CG, so I think that's safe for the most part.

Alright, you guys are getting me all excited about this TPM CG Yoda talk.  I hope this is true.  As for ESB and ROTJ, I think that Adywan is handling it perfectly, just CG his lips and his fake movements.  CG is not nearly good enough yet for them to replace something so famous.

Lucasfilm definatly has the money.  Even if they would release a new version of this film, it would make them a huge profit, way more than the money it would take to re-edit things.

Sure they have the money, but that doesn't mean they throw money at projects willy-nilly. Lucas made the prequels for pretty low figures when considering the amount of FX work involved. He wouldn't spend a lot on replacing Jabba unless he really wanted to produce a big redo, a final cut of sorts. But the scenes with Jabba would be incredibly difficult to replace with CG, and that would send the cost up. I can't see it happening.

The Concierge said :It does put stress on the internal logic of the whole Force ghost idea...but I think dramatically, at least, it makes much more sense to show Padme to the audience again over Mace. Perhaps to reinforce the logic behind her appearance emphasis could be added to key points earlier in the saga (I could only imagine this in AOTC or ROTS) showing Anakin's 'mystical' bond with Padme through the Force...

I just posted in jest about the midichlorian thang over on the radical redux thread.

Maybe the Jedi had a slightly more sinister reason for not wanting their number to get too attached to other people, with a shared blood supply perhaps Padme had temporary Jedi powers during her pregnancy which could explain her death due to her strong connection to Anakin through love and her coming back to him as a ghost/memory, she could even be the explaination for him coming back as a ghost, Qui-Gon does say love is the key and Palpatine claims his former master could save the people he loved too (something I can't imagine Palpatine being able to do).

I suppose I should be more careful with my humour?

+++Strike that mothers and babies don't share their blood supplies, thanks Lord V for reminding me about basic human biology, always confusing for out of towners like myself, one heart...quaint+++

My one major ROTJ wish: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfxdAvBxge8
Bring back the '97 celebration! No damn kid choir in the Ewok celebration! At least in '97 it was MUCH more subtle and less annoying. No useless prequel reminders! Exclamation points! And, of course, most important, Sebastian Shaw as Anakin.

They already did that for TPM. I just didn't know they were showing it in public.

As for replacing the puppetry in the OT, I can only say that right now Lucas won't do that, and the current animation team at ILM will leave before they do that.

Yeah, I know how they feel, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened at some point.

Have you heard anything about remake rumours? Hm, maybe we should take this to PMs.

How about adding General Veers into the Endor battle somehow? I'd love to know that his smirking face is inside the AT ST that gets squished between two logs.

Anybody suppose that'd be possible?

I was reminicing about Rebel Assualt today, and started thinking. Could any elements from the full motion videos in Rebel Assault 2 be used to beef up the battle of Endor (Imdarr in the game, but identical to Endor in all respects) or the space battle above Endor. It has lots of shots of pilots in cockpits, and a rebel vs. Scoutrooper sequence on speederbikes.

It was CD-Rom video quality, so not perfect, but perhaps usable somehow. I need to find a copy as I haven't played it in 10 + years.
