Davnes, you did the Special Edition correctly, deleting the original classic version that I grew up with for the last few minutes so that no one else will understand how I feel about it, flaws and all.

LOL! Can we get someone to preserve the classic version of that pic? Do we start a petition? Or do we have to wait for George to release a non-anamorphic version?
I secretly still have the flawed original version...but I'm pretending it doesn't exist anymore, until I release it on a bonus DVD.

Sheesh, if there's one thing I've learned from George Lucas, it's this: if you want a job done right, you've got to do it yourself.
I know some of you won't like me tampering with my original vision, but I was never happy with it. A great photographer once said "A satellite image is never finished, only abandoned" so I wanted to use this, the two-hour anniversary of the original picture, to re-release it with better labelling to make it more consistent. We've also spent minutes completing a pixel-by-pixel colour restoration to bring what, we're sure you'll agree, is the most vivid, realistic image possible. It's how the original looked.
I like to think the key word here is consistency.
Jabba gets edited back into ANH, but I get removed from the pic? Sure, you can still see me if you squint, but my label has been "fixed" in a way that basically removes me from the pic. I say we boycott this picture until an unaltered original pic is released.

hey guys just fixed the image of luke in ROTJ, in the original the rail splits up the lightsaber blade so there are two sections which from the angle we are lookin at it doesnt look right.

watchin ROTJ atm. you know when luke enters as the gamorrian pigs raise up there staffs in front of luke, i think it would be really cool if Ady cut the force choked guards completely and cut straight to luke walking down the steps, would make him seem more strong, we dont know what happened to the pigs. dunno just seems to make the scene better.
I think it would be better if he just did the same trick Ben did (point at them and they pretend he isn't there).
Force choking is only a Jedi skill in the EU.

Agreed. Choking them was just stupid and unnecessary. I've felt that for a long time. Why did they do it, anyway? To make Luke's new darker dressing character more ambiguous or something?

I never had any issue with it. They tried to block him, he said "step back sucka" with the Force and went about his business. It's notable that he doesn't kill them with it.
"Force Choke" as a "Dark Side Power" is something arbitrary they made up in the RPGs and Video Games. Luke is the man, since he does it it's probably OK to do.

well, he might have been a bit touch and go with the training I guess, touching into the darkside...after all it's not like he has a Jedi temple to go to or a holocron or books to learn from and hes not visiting his trainer often enough...busy with the war an all.
He might have found it a useful and harmless tool of intimidation.
A normal jedi would most likely do the " I am not here" trick and let the pigs get back to the through.
Should anything be done to it as we now know Luke does not have all kinds a jedi info at hand. plus he is supposed to touch the fringes of the dark side ain't he?
