Yeah sure, what about the interpositive that was on Ebay a couple months ago?
“English, motherf***er! Do you speak it!?”
from imdb or are they wrong which wouldn't suprise me but here:
Runtime | 1 hr 56 min (116 min) 2 hr 6 min (126 min) (original) |
Sound Mix | 70 mm 6-Track (70 mm prints) | Dolby (35 mm prints) (as Dolby Stereo) |
Color | Color (Technicolor) |
Aspect Ratio | 1.18 : 1 (negative ratio) 1.85 : 1 (intended ratio) |
Camera | Panaflex Camera and Lenses by Panavision |
Laboratory | Technicolor, Hollywood (CA), USA |
Film Length | 3,186 m (Sweden) |
Negative Format | 35 mm (also horizontal) (Eastman 125T 5247, 400T 5294) |
Cinematographic Process | Spherical VistaVision (special effects) |
Printed Film Format | 35 mm (Eastman 5384) 70 mm (blow-up) (Eastman 5384) D-Cinema (2011 re-release: Australia) |
Any 70mm film print will be orders of magnitude more difficult to acquire than its corresponding 35mm print.

so people are allowed to attack me though
To be fair we never crossed the line into Batman insults.

Describing something someone is doing isn't a personal attack even if colorful words are used. Calling someone a name is a personal attack.
It is not a personal attack to say "Molly is polluting her school with cigarette smoke."
It is a personal attack to say "Molly is an asshole for smoking in school."
See the difference?

I'd be amazed if there was a unfaded 70mm out there.
And play nice, kids.

Actually, by 1985 I'm pretty sure 70mm prints would have all been low-fade. I saw an original 70mm of Ghostbusters back in 2010, it was beat up and ridden with splices, but the color was fully intact.
But how many 70mm prints still exist, I don't know. Only 7 theaters in the US/Canada played it in 70mm on opening weekend, so I'm guessing only a handful of prints were ever struck.

I have no idea if the image here is from a small strip of film, or if it's from a complete print some collector has. I doubt we'll ever know.
isn't 70mm a higher grade than 35mm if i'm wrong please be polite to me i'm sorry i just was looking for answers i'm new to all this ok.

The negative is 35mm. The 70mm print was a blow-up.
This isn't to say that the 70mm has no value! 6-track surround sound; often sharper than 35mm release prints because of less generational loss; low-fade for later prints like BttF; etc.
Regardless, there's no way in hell we'll ever get our hands on a 70mm print of BttF short of a miracle, so there's really no point in discussing this further.

Roughly 37% of us can. Unfortunately those members of the team rarely post.

Since i really don't much about this can you please explain why? Also has anyone seen it in 70mm?
The 16mm auction ended early. Wonder what happened...
