I know that everyone here loves high quality transfers of everything possible, but I also think a lot of people might be interested in this website if they don’t know about it already:

Archive.org Feature Films

The archive has tons and tons of old movies (that are now public domain) in mpeg/avi (and some in DVD ISO) format. The quality won’t be DVD quality for most, but it is still worth it for things that you would like to get for free that you don’t necessarily want to pay for, such as:

  • Nosferatu
  • The Golem
  • Salt Of The Earth
  • La Voyage Dans La Lune
  • Un Chien Andalou
  • Reefer Madness
  • Night Of The Living Dead
  • The Brain That Wouldn’t Die

So, I just thought I would mention it to folks.

Also, does anyone know a good one or two-step program (like Avi2DVD) for making DVD-Video format DVD’s out of raw mpegs?

Also, does anyone know the legal restrictions on selling these movies?

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.
