Info: A new edit (The Lost Cut - it was a prank; but some good info in here) — Page 3

Don't worry about it. In a world where Lucasfilm actually lost the original Death Star miniature, and it went through many hands to finally end up in someone's collection, almost anything seems plausible!

Yeah....I forgot about that. That was a pretty funny story too. LucASSfilm dolts!!! Can't even keep track of their own important stuff!!

Still would have liked that to be the real Lost Cut though.

Since this was a lie, could we focus on ways to actually get the Lost Cut? Who could possibly have it, and how could anyone get in touch with those people? Perhaps letters to Lucasfilm asking it's wherabouts?
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

Davis: Since you seem to be as much a geek as the rest of us, if you haven't checked out Deleted Magic you should. It's probably more satisfying as a viewing experience than the Lost Cut could ever be.

Regarding the Dune film discovery: There are some important points to ponder when considering if dylanfree saw the Smithee version versus some long lost Lynch cut. First and foremost is that the Smithee version was intended for network broadcast as a TV miniseries. It might not have ever been edited together as film to only be transfered to tape for broadcast. It wouldn't be unreasonable to suspect that it was edited in some other format.

And more importantly there has never been (to my knowledge) a theatrical aspect ratio of the Smithee, it was strictly pan and scan. This is why all video/DVD releases and broadcasts of it have ALWAY been pan and scan. If dylanfree saw Smithee in widescreen, that would have been a major find as well.

There's been more cuts of the Bladerunner than I care to think about, but I'm suspecting the whisking away of that Dune film is a sad loss...

My gut says his boss didn't turn it in to anyone. It's either in his private collection or being readied for eBay.

And now, for your feature presentation:
The Classic Re-re-re-release of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back.
In this version the word "WOOKIE" has been changed to "HAIR CHALLENGED ANIMAL" and the entire cast has been digitally replaced by Ewoks.

2 Greek geeks? We're being overrun!

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

I'd hate to spoil a good thing - we got the intended effect.

1. I should have said that he's a Greek immigrant in the U.S.
2. You really don't want to hook up with this guy.
