Indiana Jones in 3D.... Rumor or not? More are saying it's true....

Well, so long as it doesn't supplant the original 2D versions it could be fun. That's kind of my view on it right now.

I can't believe these will be any good.   I'm not sure how you can make 3D film out of something that was originally shot 2D,   It certainly can't look like a film that was made in 3D.

My nickname at school (well one of the more polite ones) was Charlie Brown because I was utterly rubbish at Rounders (a prehistoric fore-runner of your Baseball) and Stallball ( a prehistoric fore-runner of our Cricket and Rounders).

Charlie Brown All-Stars pretty much sums up my life.

Good grief...

However he does have a passing resemblance to dear Warb.

This from Vic at ScreenRant:
Blue Sky Disney is known for their reliability.  Just because Lucasfilm denied it doesn’t mean it’s not true.
We’ll see how it all shakes out in the end.

My thoughts too. If 3D happens, I might go and enjoy it. As long as the real movie isn't surpressed (like the OOT)  then all is well in my book.

More comments at ScreenRant:

"This story is true. I work for a conversion house in Hollywood and my boss had meetings with a high up Lucasfilm executive earlier in the month. And for those that think this was just about Star Wars, it wasn’t. They’re converting the films to 3D. They may not announce it next month though, The goal was to make it a surprise an d Blue Sky Disney spoiled that for them. They may wait for a while to announce it, but that Lucas spokesperson denying it is total PR."

"I too want to add a little bit to the validation of this. I work in LA and know quite a few people in the industry. When I went over to a friends house last week, he mentioned that some Lucasfilm big wigs were at his work to check out the 3D they have for conversion of some films. I said the Star Wars films and he smiled and said Nope. His wife asked a question and we changed the subject and didn’t get back to it. But this makes total sense."

Oh. This 3D version needs to not have that revised matte. That's the dealbreaker for me.

Supposedly George Lucas is also hacking away at a script for Indiana Jones V.

I really wish he would stop destroying Star Wars and Indiana Jones and make those films he has talked about making for like 30 years, those little experimental things.

Supposedly LucasArts was outsourced or most of the company to a new building.  I cannot remember if it was malaysia or singapore.

Makes sense as to why Hayden Blackman was let go and force unleashed III canceled and all in house development pretty much coming to a crawl.

But since clone wars is made not in the USA, also outsourced.  Not really a surprise.

Lucas also wanted to set up a studio in Austria to shoot  the live action series on video there, but don't think much became of that because he got no tv station to agree to his budget, or proposal for full control.  He was adamant about that because he has always held a grudge over young indy being canceled by network executives.
