Indiana Jones Trilogy (Released) — Page 7

No idea, captainsolo.
I said hell with it and bought Indiana Jones BD set for around $35 pricematched with Best Buy earlier this year. It's already quite inexpensive with Amazon.com so I'd say go for it. No idea but the WOWOW seems to be floating around randomly on the internet, but I have zero idea as to where though. I'm still looking around for it.
But I'd love a BD50 AVC for the WOWOW of Raiders of the Lost Ark as a Disc 2. Maybe Andrea could work some of his sp0rv magic?

Is the WOWOW still around anywhere? I've been thinking about finally going for the BD set, but think the WOWOW is more natural for Raiders.

BTW Temple and Crusade are the same transfers on WOWOW and the Blus right?

I believe I picked up my WOWOW trilogy from ruTracker.

I don't believe they're on that site anymore.

Whoops  i take that back :)  Although if they are being seeded is another question.

Rutracker has 31 seeds at the moment for its 63gb WOWOW trilogy.

Yeah, it can be a little tricky to find exactly what you want on Rutracker sometimes.  If anybody needs the exact link go ahead and send me a PM.

The whole WOWOW trilogy resides into one of my hard disks, waiting for a preservation project... (^^,)

Sadly my projects are lost due to an HDD crash… 😦 | [Fundamental Collection] thread | blog.spoRv.com | fan preservation forum: fanres.com

Good to know you at least have them for a future preservation projects.

Did you ever get you monitor back so you can continue with what projects you've started already Andrea?

Sadly I'm still waiting to receive the money back from the extended warranty... still using the good ol' monitor - with audio that definetely decided to not work anymore... (xx_) I'm a bit tired (also my back is) to sit in front of this tiny display, in the most uncomfortable position...

So i noticed on at least Raiders there's text overlay, is there any more of this in any of the 3 movies?

If I recall right it happens one more time in Raiders.  In Marion's bar in Nepal there's some more text I believe.

Does it happen in the other 2 movies any where?

I can't remember, it's been a long time since I've watched those two. (unlike Raiders)

Thanks to those on this thread. The WOWOW certainly seems to be the source element for the re-timed Raiders and corrects many of the issues I saw in the new 35mm print and feels much more natural to my eyes.

Yes, on their respective title cards (e.g. "1935 - Shanghai").

With re-timed Raiders do you mean the blu-ray?

We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

Does nobody remember the old 35mm print of Raiders that was on eBay a while ago, the colors of which were nearly identical to the Bluray?

Yeah, I'm right there with h_h. I thought there was a ton of evidence that members gather that pointed to the release prints of Raiders were golden/yellow tinted. That kind of chemical color timing was popular in the early 80s.

Sorry dvdmike, I don't understand what you are trying to say. What is LP in this case?

But from the 35mm print h_h mentioned:
