"When I first saw TPM, I had no standards."

"had"?

"which says to me, lots of 'I'm too old for this shit' gags. Yawn."

"Ah, you mean like Obi-Wan in ANH? I didn't mind seeing an old Obi-Wan in ANH myself."

I believe the reference is from "Lethal Weapon".

"Because THEY ARE INTENDED BY THEIR CREATOR to be seen before ANH, ESB, and ROTJ. Sequels, on the other hand, are intended to be seen afterwords."

Then Lucas' failure has been complete for the past 30 years. Either he shouldn't have filmed them that way, or he shouldn't have released them until, say, May 20, 2005.

"(And, BTW, the Young Indy series serves as proof that Indy will not die in Indy 4, as he was shown as an old man of 93 in the Young Indy series.)"

And if film chronology is this end-all-be-all that you claim it to be, then I have to ask: Do you watch "Temple of Doom" before "Raiders of the Lost Ark"?

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

I've never really set and watched them all in one sitting. But if I did, yes, I would watch TOD, then ROTLA, the TLC.

TOD sucks anyway. And I say this (once again), based on originally going into it with no expectattions.

Meh.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I think they mean it though this time. Harrison said it as if he, Lucas, and Spielberg all three had approved it.

True. We all know how easy it is for Lucas to change his mind and make revisions.

We certainly do. We also know that, as of late, he's prone to disappointing fans. So I think Indy 4 won't happen, just to break that trend of disappointment.

How long before the pre-movie hype machine starts up with the release of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles on DVD with Hayden Christensen's head pasted over Sean Patrick Flanery's?

And don't forget the inevitable "Special Editions" of the Trilogy re-released in theaters, complete with rontos roaming the streets of Cairo, and the big finale with Jar-Jar and his Ewok friends busting out of the Ark of the Covenant to the tune of "Augie's Municipal Band" at the end.

Yeah... I know how Lucas works. It's gonna happen.

I had a dream that I fought with a 6 foot garter snake and it chased me around my childhood friend's old house, I shit you not.

That's one dream I hope never comes true.

Now THAT I shall be counting the days until! That was one of the best TV series of the 90's and shall make it into my DVD collection as soon as it is released.

I agree. The series fuunctions better as individual episodes, rather than as films. And it's cool to have old Indy.
