It is really more silly than a thermal exhaust port, right above the main port? 😉

Where were you in '77?

It’s not more silly, but it is too similar.

Bringing back the original voice of Admiral Ackbar, Erik Bauersfeld, (now 93!) is a huge plus in my book. Yeah, it’s easy to record movie dialog just about anywhere now, but that they went that extra mile just makes me happy.

So that was really him? I thought so. I remember seeing something right after the news broke that Ackbar would be in the film about how they ought to get him back, but I hadn’t heard for sure whether they actually did.

A few years on… I really liked that Luke’s appearance in it was left until the end of the film - building up the myth and legend around the character - plus the anticipation - then leaving it for TLJ.

A bold and somewhat risky move - yet think it worked really well.

Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here?
And say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

It also gave Rey a chance to really shine w/o being overshadowed by a Jedi Master.

A good point that, mate - and for the other new main characters too.

I like the early part of the film with Rey. At her AT-AT home. Start and build her character very well, and then into rest of story.
