Important Questions I need answered about original triliogy about to be released on DVD

Yes folks I am sure these are questions answered elsewhere but that could take hours to try and find, so i am asking for myself.

Like most hardcore fans I really hated most of the changes to the orignial series, which needed no alterations at all. But I am not wanting to debate that now.

What I need to know before buying these again is if other fans can confirm if they are indeed restored to originals based on following including changed dialogue.

1) The Empire Strikes Back, the original image of Emperor is back, not Ian McDarmaid grafted on from Jedi?

2) After Luke picks R2 back up after being spat out of the swamp creature, Luke says "you're lucky you don't taste very good". It was changed as most of us I assumed picked up to "you're lucky to get out of that" I regard this as about worst change done.

3) You don't see the Wampa chewing on bone (which was quite fowl), but enjoy the creepy suspense of him coming back to eat Luke?

4)Return of Jedi David Prowse is rightfully again ghost of Anakin Skywalker?

whomever can answer these for me the force surely is with you.

Actually it wasn't changed, they're both theatrical lines.
Some were not blessed with brains.

You are passing up on a great opportunity to makes lots of money,
make Lucas lose a lot of his money
and make him look bad to the entire world
and you could be well known and liked

None of us here like Lucas or Lucasfilm.
I have death wishes on Lucas and Macullum.
we could all probably get 10s of thousands of dollars!

Isn't "you're lucky you don't taste very good!" the line in the original 1980 release? I've got that line on both of my PAL VHS tapes. I can't remember if it's on the 1997 SE.

And he wasn't grafted on from Jedi, that was newly shot footage.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

I remember reading somewhere that that audio line on the original film was too far gone to be restored. I actually believe the,, because I can think of no reason why they would take that line out.

Depends upon which theater you attended in 1980. If you saw a 35mm print you heard "don't taste very good," and that line was used on all pre-SE home video releases.
The '97 SE sound mix more closely resembles the original 70mm, and has the line "lucky to get out of there."

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

1) Yes the original image of the Emperor is back.

2) Luke says: "You're lucky you don't taste very good".

3) No you don't see the Wampa chewing on the bone.

4) Sebastian Shaw is [quite rightfully] restored to his former glory.

These answers are all 100% definate as I received my R2 set yesterday [09/09], on the whole I am very pleased with them

And "You're lucky you don't taste very good" was on 70mm prints (such as the one playing at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood).
