i’m looking for the following audio tracks in uncompressed pcm from the ntsc laserdisc of these movies

The Shinning (1980) - 144min Original Mono (found) - thanks to bendermac

The Abyss (1989) - Theatrical Cut (LTBX LD) and Director’s Cut (THX S.E.)

Robocop (1987) - Director’s Cut (Criterion Collection) (found) - thanks to bendermac

Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992) - Criterion Collection (found) - thanks to PDB

Full Metal Jacket (1987) - Original Mono (found) - thanks to Buster D

A Clockwork Orange (1971) - Original Mono (found) - thanks to bendermac

Trading Places (1983) - Original Mono

An Officer and a Gentlemen (1982) - Original Mono

Robin Hood: King of Thieves (1991) - Theatrical Cut (found) - thanks to bendermac

Amadeus (1984) - Theatrical Cut (THX LD)

Taxi Driver (1976) - Original Mono (Criterion Collection) (found) - thanks to spoRv

The Great Escape (1963) - Original Mono (Criterion Collection) (found) - thanks to PDB

Robocop (1987) - Theatrical Cut

Blade Runner (1982) - International Cut (Criterion Collection), U.S. Theatrical and Director’s Cut

Raging Bull (1980) - Original Mono (Criterion Collection)

E.T. - The Extra Terrestrial (1982) - Signature Collection

Scarface (1983) - Signature Collection

The Sword in the Stone (1963) - Original Mono Mix (Masterpiece Collection)

what do i want to do with these tracks?

i’d like to remux these audio tracks with the blu-ray or use them on the restoring of the theatrical cuts (robin hood and amadeus)

why do you want the laserdisc audio, isn’t audio on the blu-ray good enough for you?

i prefer to watch the movies in their original audio mix and many blu-rays don’t have them anymore. you only get access to 5.1 upmixes. i like to preserve the original mix if possible and laserdisc is a very good source for that.

the audio itself can be captured and then send to me. you don’t have to edit the side change. separate files for each side of the laserdisc are also fine. please don’t process them to 48khz. i’d do that myself after all syncing is done.

if you have any of these movies and can share the pcm audio, please send me a pm. once i receive the audio, it will noted here and you’ll receive full credit, unless of course you don’t wish so.

thanks in advance

zero,

First off, welcome to the forum.  There is a lot of knowledge and resource here that comes from the experiences of a huge number of members, past and present.  I noticed that you were fairly direct with what you want as I read your post.  I'd highly suggest flipping through all the threads that interest you or are on par with what you're looking to do as so many feel the same about preservation of original audio and video presentation of films they love starting with the OT.

Read, learn, and have fun.  I hope you enjoy your time here.  Sharing is caring and every little bit helps.

Cheers!!!!

Did you ever get the PCM audio for Blade Runner International Cut?

Until we get a BD release with lossless sound for all cuts, I will not be upgrading my DVD set.

blade runner hasn't shown up yet.

I'd like to have The Little Mermaid LD track (stereo from the 1990 edition) and the 5.1 from the 1999 edition (also available on the 1999 DVD). If someone has it and wouldn't care to share with me, send me a PM

Has anyone managed to get their hands on Blade Runner International Cut?

I've got the Criterion Blade Runner here, so at the very least I can do some raw rips - syncing to BD may be a little more time-consuming (and as an aside, the 5.1 on the 'archive cuts' BD is apparently sourced from the 6-track masters - or so claims Ridley Scott).

Thanks Jonno. Good to know someone whos active on here has it at least.

And thanks for info about the BD audio too. But unfortunately it is only in lossy AC3 640kbps. I wonder if I can actually tell the difference though, I certainly can with AC3 384kbps tracks on DVDs.

I have the PCM from the Japanese LD (uses the same master as the Criterion), but haven't synched it yet.  Was actually thinking of doing the Director's Cut first since I haven't seen that version on BD yet.

I'm very much interested in any audio program concerning Blade Runner.

I hope you can work out the sync Buster D. Looking forward to it.

I'll get to it eventually, but it could take me a while.

Good to know Buster. Is it a bit perfect rip?

Author

Yeah, it was done with an M-Audio 2496.

blade runner international cut (not from the criterion ld) and full metal jacket scratched of the list. well, if blade runner on criterion ld is different in terms of quality, compared the japanese ld audio provided by Buster D, the request for the criterion edition stays open.

nonetheless special thanks to Buster D for sharing :-)

Hello,
I'm a film sound scholar from Italy and I'm interested in the laserdisc soundtracks of the following films for research purposes:
- Alien (5.1)
- Carrie
- Vertigo
- North by Northwest
- Taxi Driver
- The Shining
- A Clockwork Orange
- Full Metal Jacket
- 2001 (I don't know if anyone ripped this yet).

It doesn't matter if they are not synched to current video releases.

Could you please provide me with these? Your help will be highly appreciated.
Thank you very much.

Anybody know if there's any Laserdisc audio floating around out there somewhere for the original Ghostbusters film?
