You didn't even notice when I pointed it out.

I did, but I think the site went on the blink when I tried to respond.

^+^^ Thanks for your suggestions guys. No luck with any of those, my PC just refuses to boot from USB. Managed to burn a CD though and got access to my data. (Sorry if I sounded like I was b*tching at your recommendation Bingo, t'was not the case).

Also,

I WANT CONDORMAN ON BLU-RAY YOU DISNEY BASTERDS!

If you are having problems putting puppy on a USB you could send away for one of these handy things.

It will turn practically any machine (it's designed for people in the third world using underpowered recycled machines) into an android machine and the stick is unique to you. So you can be running windows off the machine, plug in the stick and use Kitkat and then unplug it and nothing has changed.

My new computer monitor was supposed to be delivered by UPS yesterday and not only did it not show up but they have taken away my tracking info on their website so I have no idea where it is!

I have no idea why they are allowed to charge money for this kind of "service".

Saw a short documentary on the drying of the Aral Sea on Youtube. A Uzbekistany body of water that's been drying out since 1917.

The majority of the comments were CRAZY. Largely about Obama. WTF.

You were reading comments under a youtube video?? What are you, crazy? ;P

I don't know which comments section is a deeper cauldron of crazy these days, youtube or CNN.

The internet has enabled so many people that in previous generations were only able to find an outlet scrawling things on the walls in public restrooms.

I stumbled across a blog recently, where the most recent post was a rambling muse on George Clooney's attempt to deflect speculation on his sexuality by getting married. (A lot of other posts seems to be about gay people from a psuedo scientific baloney angle.) I searched in vain for some clue as to the identity of this blogger and their qualifications to pontificate on such matters, to no avail.

Cloney is gay? WoW I'd never of guessed but then I was the last to know about that stud Liberace.

Damn SpiderMan 2 didn't make a lick of sense.

SPOILERS

How did Harry not know his dad had a degenerative disease when they used it in OSCORP PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS!!?!

How did Harry, who plainly owned the entire company outright, get totally removed from authority without any kind of process?

Why didn't Spidey donate his fricking blood??? In a controlled medical environment, Harry wouldn't have become the Green Goblin.

Why did this movie INSTANTLY reverse the emotional ending of the previous movie? ASM1 ends "We can be together." ASM2 starts- "We can't be together!"

How did Peter's dad build a super secret laboratory without his billionaire boss finding out? Who paid for it?!?

Was Gwen REALLY the only person who "knew" how to turn on the power plant? She hit a giant red button that said 'power on.'

I love the LOTR film trilogy when it came out (and still kinda do), but in hindsight   Peter Jackson should of died of a massive coronary before he even shot a single frame of film. It's clear he never understood anything of Tolkien's work or themes; he's just some kiwi fuck who likes transformers-sequel action movies, and imposed the Final Solution on Middle Earth fans, and people have suffered endlessly since then. Hopefully Tolkien's estate will make sure this never happens again; these films are very like the ring of power itself. When the third Hobbitt film comes out, I'll have to throw my LOTR DVDs into the fire, and I'm a big fan of those movies!

Why is it that with every movie I like, everybody else will eventually hate it?

Wow,wishing death on someone so that he leaves his kids fatherless just because he made a movie you didn't like?  Tell me did he burn the books so you can no longer read them?  did Jackson put a gun to your head and force you to watch any of his movies? Here is something you may not know but I guess you need it explained to you, films are not books. if you want the book page for page go read the book. There are also a lot of worse things someone can do then making a movie you don't like.  If you go around wishing death on people for making a movie you don't like I would say you don't understand Tolkien because he would want nothing to do with a hate filled person like you.  Please stop reading the books and get a life outside of them, you have clearly lost your mind and all prospective.

Yikes. Just when I thought GF was mellowing out.

Remember when George was the object of these rants? ;)

This is why GF is one of the few people I have on ignore. I don't need his hate.

To be fair, this IS the B*tch thread though.

It sure as heck isn't the "I want (insert name here) to die because I didn't like their movies" thread.

I still have shivers caused by that one loon we had around here several years ago, that repeatedly talked about burying a certain Star Wars director with a shovel. I'm not sure what else one could use to bury someone in that scenario, but they were always very specific on that point.

Yeah i just put him on ignore too.

Look I know where he is coming from. I am a huge Sherlock Holmes fan,I grew up reading the stories, listening to the radio shows, and watching films and series and I hate the RDjr films. To me they just are not Sherlock Holmes, but I don't wish death on anyone who made them. I don't even wish the films out of existence(As happy as that would make me)because I know some people do enjoy them,I just choose not to watch them myself.  Look if you don't like Jackson's take on middle earth that is fine with me(I personally love it and yes I know a lot of people don't like the Hobbit movies but I am enjoying them for what they are),you have every right to say you don't like them and explain why but when you start wishing death on the people who made them and excusing them of not even trying to make a good film I am afraid you have lost me.  No film is so bad someone should die for making it.

Pasolini made the vilest and most unnecessary film I've ever seen and he was assassinated.

However this was after he redeemed himself by making the beautiful The Gospel According to St Matthew (1964).

I've tried to scrub the toxicity of Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma (1975) from my mind but once in a while a clip is shown and it just brings it all back.

It is truly a horrible piece of work but not worth running a man over repeatedly until he is dead.

The Lord of the Rings films are really good adaptations (the first one is pretty close to the book), The Hobbit films are pretty good too (much better than the reviews made out).

On the record, I actually like the LOTR films, but I haven't seen the Hobbit movies either. And I never actually read the books prior to seeing the movies, so I don't really have a problem with the changes Jackson made from the books. But he really jumped the shark with the King Kong remake, and Vigo Mortnesen called him out on his over reliance on special effects and bloat in the sequels.

I rather liked his King Kong too.

Not as mannered as the original, the tribe is a bit more of genetic mix too which makes the Skull Island scenes a little less racist.

It lacks tubby Jeff Bridges or any sort of charisma on the male lead front though.

I blubbed like a natural child at the end just like I did when I saw the original back in 1933.

I like both versions.  I have to say there is something about the way Peter Jackson will take an action movie but make it in the style of an old school epic that I just like. I can't explain it to anyone who doesn't like his films, all i can say is I like enjoy them and I like both his and the 33 version of King Kong for different reasons.
