I don’t like to broadcast my personal problems around here, (picture a dumpster fire about to go over Niagra Falls) but they require more time of me than dealing with the drama around here. Sorry about that.

For a job that we don’t get paid for, we mods take a lot of crap and abuse you never see.

Ah that takes me back to Lord Zerome’s thankfully brief stint on here. When he started not one, not two, but three PM threads to insult me, I laughed it off because it was clear from day 1 he’d be banned in no time. I was right.

Your situation sounds like much less of laughing matter. I hope that gets sorted out.

I don’t know if it’ll make you feel any better, but my first crush died a long slow painful death from a car accident when I was 13. That makes relationships hard for me, because most people, when they go on a date, want to make everything as overly happy as possible and pretend that nothing is wrong. Either that, or they get their dating advice from far too many rom-coms. You may be having a hard time getting a girlfriend, but look at the bright side. The only problem you’re facing in romance is just being alone. You don’t have to deal with both loneliness and trauma like I do on most days.

There’s this one Reddit thread I had a lot to say in in a community I spend a lot of time in (Reddit said it was the one I used the most last year) but I couldn’t post anything at all because the OP blocked me. Posted all my comments in another thread because I’ll be damned if this petty fucker’s gonna stop me. Reddit, why are you like this? That’s not how blocking is supposed to work.

It’s annoying to see people say “Gen Z is cringe”. That’s a straw man right there. The dimwits on TikTok are a vocal minority. The Gen Z’ers (me included) who act sensibly and dislike this behaviour are the silent majority.

Agreed. Besides, I think they’re mostly in a narrow age demographic too.

Yeah, as a zoomer myself, I definitely agree.

I think one of the biggest problems with our modern online world is that you get to hear the opinions of literally everyone. That might not sound like a bad thing, but “everyone” includes some really stupid people, and unfortunately stupid people tend to be much more noticeable than normal people. I try to avoid the most dimwit-packed places on the internet (TikTok, Twitter, Instagram), but even then I see godawful opinions way too much.
