I know some bands distributed their music on VHS tape instead of CD or anything else because it was pretty good and pretty cheap, but I don’t think it was able to replicate lower frequencies as well as I’m seeing. Do any of you remember even being able to hear the low rumble Vader had in Star Wars?

Hear as in could tell there was a low rumble? Yes. Was it as deep or rich as the laserdisc? Not quite, but it didn’t sound like crap. About like a YouTube video back when most videos were in 240P and the audio was also crippled.

Yeah, exactly, lmao.

I had the THX mastered VHS release of the Heavy Metal movie (of which the soundtrack is more than half the experience) and that did nicely until it finally hit LD. : )

Where were you in '77?

Maybe, but getting well slightly sooner (if you’re lucky) isn’t greater than money.

Having to pay to see a doctor about a fever? American health care is fucked up.

You should see how much my best friend still owes for an emergency appendectomy two years ago.

And yes, she had insurance.

I mean, I guess, but I’ve always been told that 104 and above is legitimate danger level. I’m not a doctor myself, though.

If I ever have to go to the doctor for something like that I probably just won’t even bother paying my medical bills.

He’s still in high school so it isn’t his financial responsibility. In that case he should go to the doctor.

She let it go to collections then worked out a monthly plan with them. Because the hospital wouldn’t do it for a reasonable amount of money (they wanted the whole $5,000 or so immediately, then wouldn’t go lower than $250/month payments - she pays $50/month to collections right now and is saving up slowly to settle the entire remainder when she can).

Thanks for the concern, all. Ibuprofen has kept it down to 100 or below for most of the day, but I will likely go to the doctor if it hits 104 or so, which hopefully won’t happen.

Yeah, I wouldn’t even pay it then.

Then you get taken to court and get your wages garnished. There’s no way around it in the long run, except maybe bankruptcy.

If you want friendships then it sounds like you’ll have to create new ones.

Seems that way, yeah. How to do that, though, remains to be seen.
