I got an email saying the 1080p projector I ordered had finally been delivered. I rushed home and couldn’t find it anywhere. So I opened the tracking number and it had been delivered alright. To some random place about 800 miles from me. I better get my projector or I’m going to be pissed.
If you know anything about projectors, projectors that actually project in 1080p are pretty pricey. Most cheap projectors claim to be 1080p but merely accept it as an input but actually project at some horrible resolution similar to SD NTSC (which is a huge pile of horseshit advertising) so I was pretty excited I could finally have afford my dream setup. 1080p projector, 150 inch screen, wireless surround sound, all here and ready and they send the most important and expensive piece to fucking Virginia and I’m in Illinois. Ugh!

Yeah it does but I got it on eBay so they should be able to either get me my money back or a replacement projector (what I’d rather). I mean I have the tracking number proving it a was sent to the wrong place.
Got in contact with the seller. They said they always ship it there to a warehouse then they ship it to the customer. That seems really weird and inefficient to me and I don’t understand why, but it was free shipping so I guess that’s their business. You’d think they might mention that in their item listings though so people who watch the tracking number wouldn’t get nervous when it says it was “delivered” to somebody else.
I wish to bitch about the edition of “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” I got to replace my old copy(I read it each Christmas). On jacket cover it labels the text therein as “the complete and unexpurgated text”. Yet, right at the start of the book, there is a mistake. It is says “MARLEY was dead, to begin with.”. It should say “MARLEY was dead: to begin with.” It has a comma where it should have a colon. Yes, I am nitpicking, but when you label your book as “the complete and unexpurgated text”, to me that means you should have the text exactly precisely right. This is a classic and important piece of literature. With something like this, the text to should be exactly and precisely correct. I hate that my money when to this. I feel as if I have been cheated.

Some of the issue with this is that we still have some members that just randomly hand out spleen invites so other people come here just for said invite and then leave. I do not hand out spleen invites to anyone other than those who have been here for a while and participated and shown interest and/or support for the things they are looking for. The Preservation section ends up looking like an invite drive-thru otherwise.

I think you are over-thinking it. Off topic comments have never been allowed in Project Threads but our management has been liberal with us and allowed/tolerated the simple stuff. It was only recently that things changed a bit. If they came to off topic looking, as long as we’re not trolling them to be mean purposely and with harmful intent, I can’t imagine a little fun would be frowned upon.
