If god gave you the oppertunity to do this..would you?

If god came down and told you the star wars universe is real and that if you wanted to go live there and  be trained as a jedi    but leaving meant you would have to give up all ties to your life here...family  friends  etc..etc    would you  go?

I would in a heart beat.  I would miss my family to death  of course but  one day thats gonna happen anyways so hell yes I would  go  in a a new yok minute.  How about you all? go or stay?

Nope.  I get along pretty well in this universe.

I'd go for sure.  I hate ties.

It depends, wouldn't care for the Jedi part. I was more in the Han Solo fanbase.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Nah, I wouldn't.  I'd get killed way too quickly in the Star Wars universe.

I would, however, agree to go to Mars for the rest of my life to set up a colony with a bunch of people I've never met, leaving everyone I knew behind.  So, there's that.

ESF,

I bet you could be a smuggler without having to go to another reality.  Or at least have the bounty hunters after you.

I was, but the dog got me.

No no, it's just a hurried kb problem.

Regarding the topic, I'd want to know more before signing up.  If I'm giving up everything in my life (including women), what do I get out of it?  In other words...

How much would something like that pay?

No way!

Being a Jedi is insanely dangerous.

People shooting at you left right and centre, sword fights with blades that can cut through almost anything not to mention the large amounts of pointlessly positioned death pits.

I'd be very suspicious of any God who offered me such a deal.

Either he knows my character (in which case why is he offering me something I clearly do not want?) or he doesn't in which case I suspect he didn't get a high grade in God School.

It's not as if the job comes with much in the way of perks. The old Jedi Mind trick only works on the weak minded of certain species which makes it just a little bit less effective than common mesmerism. The wardrobe is hardly inspiring and as I said earlier the weaponry is really dangerous (a Tissue Compression Eliminator is just as portable, less dangerous for the user and a lot more..amusing).

Besides I'm perfectly happy as I am or at least I would be if I could get this antique Dematerialisation Circuit to work (what has he been doing to it, it's got a shoe lace tied to one end and it's covered in lint?).

I would not  be a  good jedi I would be a rogue jedi.  If not a jedi turned sith.

So you think you could get the Jedi to train you if you already planned to go rogue?  See through you, they would.

I don't think you should waste this oppertunity.

Let me turn this trip around.

If darf vardar came down from planet vulcan  and told you that heaven is real and that if you wanted to go live there and  be trained as a angel    but leaving meant you would have to give up all ties to your life here...family  friends  etc..etc and he would melt your brain  would you  go?

Author

Darf Vardar would have to answer me this question first:

"Why would I want to go?"

Adventure, meh, excitement, meh, a Jedi craves not these things.

It depends , can i still watch the original Star Wars movies in the Star Wars universe?.

Why not kill yourself right now? One day that's going to happen anyway...

No, in the Star Wars universe you can watch the movie of your former life.

Just give me a DL-44, a heavily modified YT-1300, and a Wookiee fuzzball.

Would not want to live in the EU. Not at all.

Trained as a Jedi?? Are we talking prequel Jedi?? No thank you, those guys are dull (and kinda stupid). And you can't have sex. And if you happen to have sex they throw you into burning lava.

C'mon....  You can't say you wouldn't fly to Star's End and dodge the Corporate Sector Authority.  I'd even loan you Blue Max for the weekend.
