I just had a fantastic idea - why not re-edit OHMSS as a prequel to the Dalton-Brosnan entries?
<snip>
The reason of even thinking about this is because of the obvious fact that Bond's wife is been referenced in LTK and TWINE. And slightly in TND.
The wife is also referenced in The Spy Who Loved Me when Agent XXX meets Bond at a bar. So moving OHMSS to a post-Moore position doesn't work.
I don't think coconuts suggests moving it from where it was. He suggests re-editing it as another version of the film, suited for the Dalton/Brosnan continuity.
So the original OHMSS could exist as is in the Connery-Moore continuity, whereas the re-edited OHMSS that coconuts suggested, it would serve as the first film of the Dalton/Brosnan continuity.
I like the idea too, because it gives the Dalton/Brosnan Bond to have some sort of history. TWINE and LTK are especially based on that film's character basis, so such re-edit could serve a purpose.
