Idea: a Battle Royale edit?

I was looking into buying the move for awhile now but there are a few versions. Some have better quality video while the others have better subtitles or special features. I was wondering I anyone had thought about making one version with the better video and subtitles?

Having a few copies of this on dvd, I'd say your best bet is the R3 Korean special edition set. The video is clean, the english subs are great, and it's a nice 2 disk package.

I like the one selling on Amazon. It's the special edition, with very good subtitles, and subtitled bonus features. It's also fairly cheap, at 19.99 (or cheaper if you buy it used.) It's R0 too, so no worries about region.

The problem is, the new scenes from the DC have worse subs than the rest of the movies. Some other companie translated them, and whoever did this, he didn't do a good job.
But to be hones, there is no better version than the korean.

Yea, but I will sacrifice 10 minutes of strange subs for the other 2 hours to have really good clean ones. But that's just me.

Technically, it's not a director's cut. It's called the "special version," and has about five to eight more minutes added, which, IMO, really, really enhances the film. It's not a director's cut, specifiaclly because the footage addd was filmed after the movie was released. www.battleroyalefilm.net had this to say:

Also, this DVD I mentioned has really good subs on the added scenes as well. The bonus features, like I said, have subs, but low quality ones. They're satisfactory though, and do the job.
