Idea: Supplementals - Making Of Specials onto dvd?

I’ve been thinking that what would be super cool is if we could get the old Making Of specials on dvd. They’re hard to come by, but they are available on LD on ebay sometime. I found an auction today that has all three of them at one go, thought some of the preservationists out there might be interested, so here’s a link: Star Wars Making Of Specials

If it’s not cool to post live auctions, lemme know and I’ll remove the link, just thought some people on here might be interested.

Do you mean get them commercially from Lucasfilm? I doubt that will happen... but if you are talking about the people on these forums creating their own DVDRs, then mission already accomplished. Some awesome versions have been created, I know, because I have them!

All of these "Making of" specials have been transferred to DVD and are available from the usual sources

The question is, would it be worth it to get say... MeBeJedi (just an example) to transfer them once again with his new and improved transfering capabilities, or is the quality gain just not worth the work?

The better the source material, the better the eventual compression. Not to say that a good capture can't be made with the VHS version, but I like the highest quality masters I can get my hands on. In anyone happens to have this disc, let me know.
