okay, let's just use one of your quotes here...Here begins the example:

How do you know this? They must have quite the reputation then! I'm going to head over there and get an account just to see what they will do.

You're fucking stupid, douchenozzle. I have an idea. Why don't you go fuck yourself, and once you're done doing that, slit your wrists, drink drano, and stick your fucking head in an oven. And then, just as you've finished preheating the oven, shoot yourself. In front of a necrophiliac. How bout that.

hahahahahhaha banned.

And then you'd be banned.

That's pretty much how it'd go down.

That was beautiful. I felt like I was THERE.

So, is the official Sith release going to be the first untampered theatrical version Star Wars DVD?

And some of these deleted scenes are unfinished? That's pretty funny, considering how the previous prequel releases' scenes were touted as "created just for this here DVD!"

Such a shame about the Qui-Gon scene. IMO that scene is vital to the whole Star Wars saga.

BTW, Adam, sorry, but I really don't give a rat's ass if you've signed up to MF.com, I really don't, so can you please just stop talking and let us discuss an episode 3 fan edit? OK, thanks.

If the backstory of why Liam Neeson failed to be involved with 'Sith' is true, it's a real shame, because I agree that that could have been a pivotal scene in cementing the PT together. It would have dovetailed nicely with the other films and been a potentially emotional scene for the characters and fans alike.

I'm surprised it hasn't been included based on the positive fan reaction the scene had received.

Qui-Gon in the clone wars cartoon sounded pretty good to me. They could have gotten that guy to do it. It wouldn't be perfect, but hey. Some films even use differnt actors for sequels!

They played around with it, but never could get a close enough sounding Liam Neeson voice for Lucas's liking. Thus, it was dropped.

Anyways, the extra Dooku battle line w/video is included in the Revenge of the Sith video game cut scene. The quality may be a slight drop, but for the 2 seconds that it is used, I don't believe it will be too noticeable.

Well, I will certainly do a fan edit of Episode III (but first I'll do one of the first two episodes, which includes a lot of working). I too want to put all these scenes you have mentioned in AND if it doesn't look too bad (= if I can make them look better), some animatics from Hyperspace (there would be slightly extended Dooku duel, V-Wings over Coruscant in battle, and more fighting on Kashyyyk and Utapau).

I've asked on a fan audio board if anyone can do a good voice over, if I can get someone good, I'll add it into an extended edition.

Can you give me a link to this board ? Sounds good.

Mark my words: As I have done Extended Editions of I and II, I will do one of III.

This is in addition to the re-edits that I've done. I add everything including the kitchen sink first and export. Then I peel back the parts that I don't like for my own vision, and there will certainly be lots to ditch there.

I've never seen any of the fan edits. They must be cool.

After realizing that much of the dialogue in the Shaak Ti scene was later reused in the bridge scene between Greivous and the Jedi, I was a bit distraught. Of course, until I put in my copy of the Star Wars EP III Game. It has the condensed bridge scene in what I feel would be the difinitive version should the Shaak Ti scene be re-inserted:

62 EXT. BRIDGE-TRADE FEDERATION CRUISER

OBI-WAN, ANAKIN PALPATINE, and ARTOO are captured by GENERAL GRIEVOUS. They stand before the ALIEN DROID GENERAL.

GENERAL GRIEVOUS: Oh yes. General Kenobi, the Negotiator. We've been waiting for you. That wasn't much of a rescue.

A BATTLE DROID walks to GENERAL GRIEVOUS and hands him the JEDI'S lightsabers.

GENERAL GRIEVOUS: Your lightsabers will make a fine addition to my collection.

OBI-WAN: Not this time. And this time you won't escape.

ANAKIN: Artoo.

ARTOO creates a distraction by extending all his arms, shooting out electrical pulses, and bouncing around.
OBI-WAN, hands restrained with electrobonds, spins around, reaches out and, using the Force, yanks his lightsaber out of the General's hand, ignites it, and cuts his bonds. He continues to spin around and cuts Anakin free.

Atleast, that's the way the scene plays out in the game and it works well. I will just have to wait to see what EXACTLY made it into the Shaak Ti scene, but until then, this is what I think is our best option for allowing the two scenes to co-exist without it just sounding silly.

She's on Grevious' ship, right? Maybe there could be line added to the opening crawl which explains how she chased after Palpatine who'd been kidnapped by Grevious...

Then, her death scene could be intercut with the opening battle - IMHO it would serve as a much more dramatic intro to Grevious. As it stands he just walks into a room, coughs, and then vogues for the camera. Anyone who hadn't seen the Clone Wars series would have no idea how badass Grevious is.

Alternately, it might work as a nightmare sequence or a Force premonition...Hell, why not include it in AOTC with Yoda when he's meditating on the future of the Jedi?

Apparently, according to latest specs on the EIII DVD, some of that deleted scene isn't even completed, it's still in animatic form. It'll jump from finished shot to animatic mid-sequence once or twice. Re-editing it back in is going to be nigh-impossible if that's the case, unless someone here is a whiz at 3-d CG modeling.

I thought I read that the deleted scenes were "finished", like they were for Ep. I & II. Unless only some of them were finished, and not all.

All are finished except for the 'tank room' scene. It supposedly has animatics still in it. However, I'm hoping this can be edited around.

After seeing that deleted scene, I think you'd have to completely cut out the whole tank room part, because the animatics are there for the whole thing. You'd have to cut it just before they cut the floor and somehow find a way to explain how they end up in the shaftway. Or maybe make it seem like they cut the floor and fall into the shaft.

The way it is set up, could you somehow juxtapose a scene between the two, and still make it flow?
