Let’s say a PT editor felt that the addition of a minor character or two might provide some cover for the shortcomings found throughout the PT. Would it be possible to “bluescreen and composite” new footage to add into any of the movies?

I’m guessing there are enough vocal cues by Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman et al. (between the PT and their other movies) to provide a sort of interaction with the new characters.

Again, I know I’m way out of my depth on the topic of film editing and this idea is likely totally ludicrous. If it’s not, can this be done effectively at all?

A) You may automatically get the sort of response you anticipate by naming your thread the way you have.

B)As a radical prequel redux suggestion you really didn't need to start a whole new thread to make your point as there is already a thread covering this sort of idea anyway.

C) Yes I'm sure it's possible and it's an idea that might have legs. There is too much expositional dialogue in the PT as it is but in some ways it often the wrong kind of dialogue (frequently setting up things which don't actually come to anything in the long run, one example being the Kamino mystery tour). Replacing bad exposition for good might be useful.

You may get better coverage for your contribution by reposting it on the other thread and don't be so timid about making bold suggestions. Most of the people who use this forum are a nice bunch and even if they don't like your idea will not shoot it (at least without giving it some thought)or you down.

it would be interesting to investigate some subplots for some of the PT films. im not sure if theyd end up like tommy lee jones in no country for old men where he just seems to be outside of the main action of the film - which would be quite un-starwarsy.

id like to see dooku having his little entorage a bit more, with grevious and ventress.
