Idea: Clerks 1 1/2 Special Edition

I wanted to create a ‘Lion King 1 1/2’ style film made from Some scenes of Clerks, Clerks 2 (when commercially available), some from Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, the deleted scenes from Jay and Silent bob strikes back, ‘The Car’ scene on the X anniversary edition and one of the scenes of the cartoon. Any interest or other footage that could be deemed usable in the film

man, if you could integrate all that into something that makes sense i'm sure you'll have a bunch of followers

you might have to recolor (b&w?) the other elements to fit

What I'm trying to do is like a view of what happens through the View Askew universe in the eyes of the two Clerks. Hence why I want to use the footage from other movies and ish. I was thinking of making it gradually turn to color as it moves closer to the the 2nd Clerks film. Thanks for the feedback... any other thoughts?

I too plan on doing such an edit, but rather than through the eyes of Dante and Randal mine would be through the eyes of Jay & Bob. I am very interested to see how yours would turn out, but I would personally wait to see if they make another Clerks movie, it's only speculation but they might make it a trilogy!

Any other footage you think'd be good? Oh and can anyone get there hands on the live action tv pilot for the clerks sitcom that never made it. It'd be a nice special feature.

Hey Sacrifice now that Clerks II's DVD is coming Tuesday still planning on doing this? I would love to see it and if you wanted to go through the pain,maybe I could send my rare Clerks DVD and you can copy and send back? It would make a nice extra. Its a Tour of New Jersey & Shooting Locations for Clerks guided by Dante Himself Brian O'Halloran. Its 64 minutes long. I believe it was filmed in 99 or 00.

I was actually planning on getting that in a trade but you can send me it if you would like.... Yes... once I see how many deleted scenes and etc. there is I will start planning it... however, first I have to complete my Bruce Lee edit and try to peice a story together that could take place between Clerks 1 and 2.... I'll keep you posted on progress... and if you have any ideas or anything Carr.... let me know

Personally I'd rather never see the live action sitcom pilot discussed a few posts earlier seeing as how dante and randall weren't even played by brian and jeff.

I remember seeing a clip of that online several years ago and thinking it was godawful. It's an interesting curio, though, to see what a network does to water down something as irreverent as Clerks (ironically the very reason that anyone would want to make it into a show in the first place). It would be nice if it had been included on Clerks X. Maybe it'll be on the inevitable Clerks XV, or XX.
