Idea: Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future - a preservation?

I realize this is a series that’s been done many many times, but I have yet to see an actual fan preservation on DVD that isn’t being sold by a fan (cough, cough).

There were 22, 20 min episodes, and three training videos totally about 15 additional minutes (iirc), plus a few music videos, a gag reel and an interview with the main show and training videos being interactive with the toys. I own several of the VHS tapes at home and I’ve tried converting some of them to DVD, but it’s a long process, and several of them were never officially released on tape, so one would have to rely on copies dubbed off TV from back in the day (or re-runs off Sky One or something).

I’m curious what other people think of this and what versions you’ve seen out there that might be worth looking at.

Has everything with this series that can be done been done?

I didn't even know that someone had converted those old tapes to DVD. I could have sworn the training tapes ran longer, but I lost mine years ago.

Same here. That was one kids show that didn't pull its punches, what with most of the earth destroyed and what not...

I caught a bit of it on Youtube a short while back, and I was surprised at how good it actually was.
