Rocky VI
Mission: Impossible III
X-Men 3
The Passion of the Clerks
Superman Returns
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Sin City 2
Underworld: Evolution
Big Momma's House 2
Final Destination 3
Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown
Scary Movie 4
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Garfield 2
The Grudge 2
Rush Hour 3

WTF Fast and the Furious 3? Garfield 2? BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE 2??? Martin Lawrence thought that pile of crap needed a sequel? HAHAHAHA!

I'm looking forward to X-Men 3, Underword: Evolution, and Pirates of the Carribean 2 though. Looking at the other titles is sickening.

Why are they bothering making sequels to some of these movies? Garfield 2? The Grudge 2? Rocky VI? Is Hollywood trying to make bombs? And they wonder why Box Office revenues are going down. With some of these sequels, maybe Hollywood figures piracy will go down if they make movies so bad, nobody will want to copy them.
There are some movies that look like they can be good, like Pirates of the Carribean- Dead Man's Chest, Superman, Ice Age 2, and X-Men. So next year does have some hope.

I look forward to Sin City 2, even though I know it isn't gonna be as good as the first. I only say that because they used all the best comic stories the first go-round, when they should have spread them out over the series.

My vote: Rocky IV. All the others are either comedy, which always has the potential to be good if the writer is, or otherwise have potential.

Rocky on the otherhand is, as I said, horse that's already had all the meat beaten and flogged off it's bones.

SIN CITY 2 WILL INCLUDE "A DAME TO KILL FOR" WHICH IS MY FAVORITE OF THE BOOKS.

no need to tell you which one I picked as the most unnecessary sequel.

Why isn't there Indy 4 on that list?
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

Because Indy 4 is currently in what is known as "development hell."

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I concur. Maybe it will stay there long enough for one of the parties involved (Lucas, Spielberg or Ford) to shuffle off this mortal coil.

hmmm... why so many sequels? I was having this conversation with a friend of mine the other day. I rold him that i wish hollywood would stop using books, video games, other movies, comic books etc. and make an original work for once. Robocop was original, karate kid was original, the never ending story was original etc, etc.
He ends up saying something that contradicts my statement and I don't stand up to it like I should. Why can't I just stand my ground?
"Who's scruffy-lookin'?" - Han Solo

Hollywood seems to have a hard time being creative and honest to their customers, while making a profit at the same time. There was once a time, as Lucas points out in Empire of Dreams, when movies were actually good. The 90's, IMHo ruined cinema, music, and all of the arts. Technology, combined with people with mind on their money, and their money on their mind have brought us these horrible, horrible sequels, remakes, etc. The only ones in the list I'm looking forward to are those with the classic actors, you know the one's who actually fit the qualification? Indy 4, Rambo IV, and Rocky VI will be good, maybe not great, but good.
