hey my friend just lent me the complete series. I really liked it just wondering if any of you have seen this show and what you think

and what are the chances of fox restarting the series if the movie does really well.

I thought this was a great show. There have been a number of TV shows that I've loved that have had a very limited run. The DVD will be among my next big purchases. The good news is that Firefly is coming back as a feature film. I know Joss Wedon wrote it and I think he is directing it as well.

It's too bad that SciFi has trouble making it on TV, except the scifi channel.

I haven't seen it, but I've heard Firefly was good.

I have also heard that Firefly was a decent show. But, like Chaltab said, there is very little audience for a mass market scifi show. Surprising, too. Wasn't this show on WB or UPN where stuff like scifi and fantasy tend to do pretty decently?

Most of the time SciFi on any broadcast network does poorly. Andromeda was cancelled until it re-emerged on SciFi years later.

Hey guys i jsut finished the series and all i can say is, wow. from what i have seen this was by far the best series i have ever watched, and in some ways i wouldnt even classify it as a scifi, it was more a drama and a western that anything else.

when i say it was the best i mean it. it was far better then buffy or angle or any of the star trek series, even enterprise which as you all know i am a big fan of. the show had such a warmth to it and my wish would be for the movie to do extremely well and for fox to re-start the show, because it had such potential to be far greater then it was in my mind at the point where is was canceled. my greatest beef is that fox never even let the show finish one season.

one of the greatest things about the series was there the were no aliens nor were there many cool looking space battle's. The characters used guns and bullets, there were a few futuristic weapons, for example one of the villains in the show had a laser gun and the government troops had these shock-wave guns. but asides from that it was all stuff that we have today.

you know i have never aside from lord of the rings watched all the special features for a DVD; i did for firefly. and to see how much the actors and joss weaton loved the show, i just know that if fox wanted to restart the show and joss wanted to go back that they could.

my suggestion to all of you is to watch this series completely not now but jsut before the movie come out cus when you finish it you really want to find out more about the universe that they are in and what happens to the characters.

This series absolutely rocked. A shame it didn't continue.

Holy crap, I just discovere this show too, and I was completely and totally blown away. While there were some aspects of the show I didn't like (Joss' atheism creeping in even with a preacher character), it was a very entertaining show, and I was totally mad when it ended.

Over on Buffy.nu, I noticed that there is a script from the show that was never used...haven't read it yet, but the comments on it seem positive.
Which is the more foolish, the fool (the OT) or the fool who follows (the PT)?

good to see. the preacher was a preacher thou, he was only acting as one. however since the show ENDED so quickly joss didnt have time to really explain it.

True. Still, as much as I admire and love Joss' work...the man has some crazy ideas it seems at times.
