How old Anakin and Obi Wan were originally supposed to be? Always thought they were meant to be at least a decade older then they were in the PT

In A Guide to the Star Wars Universe, Second Edition, Ben and Anakin’s birth years are given as 60 BBY and 55 BBY, respectively. That would’ve made them twenty-five and twenty in 35 BBY, the year given as the end date for the Clone Wars. Though who can say what Lucas had in mind in 1977. Ben may’ve been in his nineties or even older, given some of the dialogue.

“The Anarchists are right in everything; in the negation of the existing order and in the assertion that, without Authority there could not be worse violence than that of Authority under existing conditions. They are mistaken only in thinking that anarchy can be instituted by a violent revolution… There can be only one permanent revolution — a moral one: the regeneration of the inner man. How is this revolution to take place? Nobody knows how it will take place in humanity, but every man feels it clearly in himself. And yet in our world everybody thinks of changing humanity, and nobody thinks of changing himself.”

That was an early guide before everything was locked down and before more movies being made. Nothing in the movies mentioned exact ages by that point. Alec Guinness turned 62 while filming in 1976. And I don’t really agree he was made to look old, other than the fact he grew a beard. His hair was already gray/white and in interviews from 1976 out of costume he was balding and looked as old, or older. Ewan McGregor today is just ten years younger than Alec was when he filmed it in 1976.

I guess Anakin was originally supposed to be much closer in age to Obi-Wan (maybe in his late 50s or early 60s instead of just 45 years) when the original trilogy was made. Otherwise, Lucas probably wouldn’t have casted Sebastian Shaw as dying Vader in ROTJ.
