How many times have you bought the movies?

All this talk about "not buying the movies again" makes me wonder how many copies we might have purchased as a group. I'll go first:

My parents had:

Star Wars Videodisk CED (I grew up with a VHS copy of that)
Empire VHS (one of the first VHS tapes)
Jedi VHS (one of the first VHS tapes)

I've had:

"Faces" Trilogy VHS in 1995
97SE Widescreen Trilogy VHS in 1997
Episode I Deluxe Widescreen VHS in 1999
Episode I DVD in 2001
Episode II DVD in 2002
04SE Widescreen Trilogy DVD in 2004
Episode III DVD in 2005

My wife had the 04SE Fullscreen Trilogy DVD when I met her, but I superseded it with my Widescreen copy, but I think that would still count.

I only have the DVDs now, and never bought the repackaging with the GOUT.

What about you?

Ew... and you still married her?

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Not sure what the recognised nicknames are but...

Original UK PAL VHS Releases (rather pricey)

First go white cover UK PAL Widescreen VHS

Faces Executor VHS tin set.

UK PAL Widescreen  SE VHS (silver) Set

All PT UK VHS Widescreen (including ROTS)

Pan and Scan VHS AOTC (to give away as a present)

The PT PAL UK Releases as they came out (twice as once was to give as a present).

UK PAL SE DVD Set (three times as twice was to give as Christmas Presents)

UK PAL GOUT DVD (individual discs).

If Clone Wars counts you can chuck that in twice too (once as a present) and I've got the Season One Box set of the series.

I think I've done my bit now...

As a kid, we had:
Trilogy on CBS Fox VHS Set
A New Hope on Betamax
Trilogy on CED Discs
CED Discs transferred to SLP VHS tape (why did both of our parents do this, 005?)
Some 8mm 10 minute long reel in B&W

Personally
Trilogy on Faces Widescreen Box (the huge side-by-side one)
Trilogy on Silver SE VHS box
Trilogy on 2004 DVDs

And I also own
PT on dual disc DVDs
Both Clone Wars cartoons DVDs that came out before RotS
Ewok Movies Double Feature
Ewok Cartoons
Droids Cartoons
R2-D2 Beneath the Dome
Hardware Wars (I had the SE on tape, and I was ticked this wasn't also on the DVD.  It's like 10 minutes long, they couldn't have but both of them on there?)
And that music one I got with RotS.

I think that's it.  I didn't buy the 2006 GOUT, but I did get RotJ GOUT from Netflix once.

So not as many as I'm sure many of you have.  But I've done my part, no doubt.

Oh, and my parents bought TPM on the deluxe widescreen VHS that came with a little art book.  I think I sold it for them a couple years later.

Hey, some of us didn't know that widescreen existed. Not like widescreen VHSs were in high supply. :-P

Hmm, in the order I got them:

P&S trilogy recorded off cable by a friend b/c we didn't have cable.

P&S Faces vhs

W/S '97 SE vhs

W/S TPM collector's edition vhs

W/S '93(?) vhs set in a blue box with the hologram on the front & a book (got this when I became tired of the SE, first time I saw the OOT in w/s)

W/S TPM dvd

W/S AOTC dvd

W/S Def. Coll. Laserdisc set (bought this along with a LD player when it was officially confirmed the dvds would not have the OOT)

W/S ROTS dvd

2006 GOUT dvds

I still have all of them too, though the vhs's are probably all at my parents house & I'd be hard pressed to find some of them probably.  But I never got rid of any of them.  (though the longer time goes on, the more I'm tempted to get rid of anything PT related I own)

Does the latter explain or forgive the former?
