I did not subscribe to Hyperspace, because I think it's just not worth the money. Another gripe I had with this, is that some features were solely available to U.S. and Canadian residents, yet people from other countries are expected to pay the same amount of money.

You gotta love the irony in that one, don't ya?

I did the Hyperspace tour and checked out the Clone Wars animated stuff as well as old issues of Bantha Tracks. There is some worthwhile content on there, but I don't think I'd fork over the cash for a membership.

Yeah- I like getting the pictures from Before the Helmet and such, but it's mostly not worth the money- prolly won't renew. Plus, that Pablo Hidalgo guy barely even writes much of a column. You'd think that as a fan you'd have a lot to say being with Lucas for Episode3. Even if you didn't have permission to give some things away, at least give some indication of how you're enjoying it.

Me neither! Before, all you had to have was Quicktime, which was free and still is. If you had Quicktime, you could watch the making of reels (which later became DVD bonus features) absolutely free. He's just being greedy now.

This is creeping me out. First, we've run into the problem of having several forum members using the same avatar. But now we have two people using the same avatar who have near identical names (jedimaster and Jedi Master).

If I had bought Hyperspace, I'd just barely not have had enough to buy my laserdiscs. I wouldn't have JUST bought them before the announcement, and just before prices shot up.

So, in a way, it is a very good thing I didn't buy hyperspace.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

the content is great but inconsistent in its deployment, during the summer there was a set report every day and the webcam on set was cool.

its not a matter of it being worth the money for me, because it is.

But the principle of it does bother me and I was torn whether to get it or not. This is content we use to get for free and is essientially advertising, and its wrong to pay for ads.

that said I'm weak and I got it anyways, the reason being that this was something that would only be around now (the pre-Ep3 hype I mean) and I figured I might regret it if I didn't get it.
