How long will they last? (the VHS tapes of the OOT)

I was wondring how long will the VHS of the OOT last if GL does not bring it out on DVD ? Even GL knows dvds last much longer then VHS .

Not forgeting that VHS is dead and HD is the new formate

He's asking how long the old OOT videotapes will last. 10 to 25 years is a widely quoted average. Strangly enough, the early SW VHS releases of the 80's should last longer than the VHS releases of the 90's.

Last time I checked, it was still quite easy to find a DVD/VCR combo at Wal-Mart. Hell, they still sell new record players! I doubt VCRs are going to stop being sold.
