I don't know how some people manage to play entire chess games without a physical board. That must take some practice.
Now, there must be some purpose to the move you just made, but I'm not seeing it...

Or a very good spacial memory. Not me, obviously.

I'll go ahead and tell you. I'm trying to wear you thin. Trading material is far more advantageous for the person who is ahead than he who is behind. Lnx9h
The reason I was asking is because I had made a mistake. I had your lion on 10e, so obviously your move seemed kind of dumb... I'll live with it though.

What?!?! You had my piece on the wrong square?!?! Unbelievable!!!! What an idiot!!!
Obviously I'm just kidding ;)
If you like, you can take it back. I don't mind.
No, you go ahead. You've continued on after mistakes before and I would want to go back a few turns (from the time you moved your lion to that square). I don't think it will be that devastating in the end anyway. I suspect you will win the game, so I see no point in extending the game just so it takes a bit longer. Don't worry, I am enjoying the game, so don't think I just don't care. :)

JEDIT: I meant to say thanks for allowing the game to continue despite its disadvantage to you. I really didn't mind letting you take your move back, but it is nice to finish a bit sooner.

No problem (letting you go ahead, that is). I didn't figure it would ruin me too much. ;) Besides, I think it may end up being positive for me unless you do something unexpected.
Hmmmm...now you're getting me nervous. Lnx11k igui.

Ah, very clever. I applaud you for seeing that, and I feel kind of bad for not letting you get away with it, but I like my lion a lot. Ln-10h
Sorry buddy. I do feel bad about it. That was pretty sneaky. I considered just moving my gold to 7b, but you could still threaten another valuable piece (my dragon king) with that same maneuver, so I better just move my lion. Again, really, that was some slick thinking, and I nearly didn't do much about it.

Not having many long-range pieces sure stinks. It's going to be reeeally hard to get up behind your lines and take out your powerful pieces.
Yeah, I don't think much could be done without a couple of serious errors on my part. But that doesn't mean it's not possible. I seriously looked at the previous position, thought, "Oh, he's going to move his bishop and hope I don't see the side mover. I'll just move it at that point, maybe taking out his reverse chariot and lance in the same turn. I can keep my lion safe." Then I thought, "Waaaaait a second. Where can that bishop attack?" Such would have given you a much better chance. Still at present, my lion is kind of stuck without much hope for forcing progress. I have some powerful pieces, but I'm not yet ready to sacrifice them for weaker pieces in an attempt for a breakthrough. I'm just not sure it's worth it yet. You don't have many offensive options, but your defense remains surprisingly solid. It's going to be tricky breaking through. We'll see if this helps.

Wait, it's too soon! Well, hopefully I can hold you off. You're going to completely shatter my defenses in that area if you do this right and I'm not quite set up to retaliate.

Um...check? Currently you have my bishop, a dragon king, my drunk elephant, a lance, and two of my pawns "in check" but not any king or crown prince that I can see.
...You did say that "#" signified check, right? I just want to make sure we're on the same page here.
Yessir, # means check, and if I'm not mistaken, when I moved my phoenix and promoted it, I also unblocked my dragon king on an empty file, exposing your king to check. Does your board not have an empty 7 file?
This is what my board looks like:
Sorry, you were right. I'm going to wait until tomorrow (sorry, it's going to have to be in the evening) when I'm not tired before I make my move. I don't want to do something stupid.
No worries buddy. I was about to say the same thing. Goodnight. :)

I'm not quite sure about that move, but I'm going with it.
I'm actually pretty confident that that is your best move.
