Hey, it was perfect timing, and I couldn't even look anymore last night. But I'm willing to let you take back the move if you want. Let me know.

But I see the error of my ways and if I may, I would like to make the wiser move of R-5f.
I think I'll do this. I hadn't seen your post yet, so my decision wasn't biased by your move.
...Anyway, I think I'm a goner if we keep playing from where we are.
Alright, sounds good. Then Bx8g
BTW, I suggest next game we try some shogi variants. There are many interesting games, and the smaller games interest me in particular. I could help you get the software you need to try them out, if you wish. They are faster, but not simplistic, like I find mini-chess games to be. I can also teach you chu shogi, a 12x12 variant that I've actually never played except against software, but I hear it's a great game.

Actually, the software you originally directed me to works really well for that, because there are several Shogi variants included as well as Chess and maybe Chinese Chess (I don't know what the proper name for it is, so I'm not sure).

You know, I had noticed the variants, but didn't notice how many there are in that software. There are other games that I'd like to try with real humans, but that are not available through that software. There's even a three player shogi game I've wanted to try. It's supposed to be the best three player game around, as most suffer from the "petty diplomacy problem" (too lazy to find a link to describe that for you). Perhaps in a bit we can try that game out, assuming I get the software to work (requires a 32 bit Windows emulator). I'll happily teach you these other vairants once we're done with this game. :)

Sounds good. It would be nice if I could start up a game of Nimmaar (best described as four player chess--the goal of the game is to get your "President" to the center of the board) on this forum, but unfortunately only five hundred physical copies were made, so there aren't any computerized versions.

Sounds fascinating. Perhaps you could upload scans of the rules somewhere. Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to many shogi games with you. There really is so much that is fascinating about it.

I was wondering when that was coming.

Well, you grabbed the initiative there for a bit, but I managed to stave off your attack and came off better in the exchange. You had me nervous for a couple turns there. Well played, and nice try. Sorry it didn't work out. :)

I'm sad that twister hasn't been around. I wanted to see how that game turned out. If she's willing, we can maybe get that 3 player game going after a bit. But I guess we'll see.

Yeah, she hasn't showed up for a while. It's hard to get more than two people in a game when only three people ever look at this thread.

You're playing very well this game. It looks like I will come out worse in this little exchange.

Something's wrong with your link. I think it has this thread's url before the one you want.

Hmmm...I don't even know how I messed that link up. I don't think I could have easily copied and pasted a mistake like that. Weird. In any case, here is the new link, along with my move:

Just to clarify, you posted the same link again, but a fixed version? That's what it looks like, but I just wanted to be sure.
*sigh* Bye bye Bishop.
