I for one am a big horror film buff. Any others out there? (I'm sure there are )

I'm thinking of making at least one convention trip this year, and this looks pretty cool:

(and NO, I don't work for that company.. lol) I think it would be super cool to see the enitre cast of 'Evil Dead' together as its one of my favorite films.

I don't care for the REALLY gross stuff. However, I do like the first 4 Nightmare on Elm Street movies, Fright Night (great as a comedy, too!), the ORIGINAL Ammityville (why do we have such a problem with remakes around here, anyway?? ), The original Shining (The remake blew), the Exorcist (which I won't have in my house), Halloween, Army of Darkness, and Scream.

I like the more psychological horors like The Ring and The Others.


But mostly, I prefer horor games, because if somethign scares the crap out of me I can get revenge by blowing it's head off with a shot gun.

I suggest you watch the japenese Ring, it's better than the crappy hollywood remake.

Anyone ever see Peter Jackson's 'Braindead' (USA title 'Dead Alive')? Great weird funny gross film!

And yeah, I don't know what's up with the slew of remakes of classic horror films right now. Actually I do know, but that's one of the frustrating things about Hollywood.

Not seen the Grudge. But I have heard it sucks, and that the original Japanese version isn't much better.

I would watch The Ring before Ringu, because I hear Ringu is better... But The Ring is good enough that if you haven't seen the original, you'll probably like it.

I have seen some Strange Horror Films like: The Manitou, Brain Damage. too the 3 (Rock Video Like) Return of the living Dead Films.

IMO the Old "Shining" film with (Jack N) is Scarrer than the Newer Verson that was made with the guy from Wings Tv show.

Event Horizon (The Ghost Ship in Space), The Halloween Films, Dawn and Day of the Dead, The Funny "Shaun of the Dead",The Alien Films, People Under the Stairs, The Thing, Silent Rage (Chuck Norris fights a Spooky Guy that becomes Invincible), An American Werewolf in London, The Entity, Demon Seed, Videodrome, Vampires, The Wishmaster Films, The Exorcist{sp?} (Linda Blair Film)- I all so liked Repossessed (Comedy), The Poltergeist Films (There Here...).

to name a few..

Fyi.. I check The Horror Channel for info on other horror films also.
