some notes on the other releases...

first off "good job". the special features on the dvd9 set are pretty cool. i have no idea how you got the score for the movie, but that inclusion of it makes the release a must have :)
if there is any chance to get the original, untouched files of the score, that would be super awesome.
the trailers on your dvd are also pretty nice. i only had the trailer from the blu-ray and it was aweful, with a huge amount of red in it. i tried to fix it but i was never able to do so. it felt like a color channel was missing. now your vision fixed that issue. so thanks for that.

while i prefer the final director's cut over the old versions, it's actually very nice to have these other cuts in good quality as well. it shows how much a movie can change, to the better or worse.

so a big thanks to everyone involved in making these releases possible :)

for those IMing me about the soundtrack.

I have found a spanish soundtrack with some alternate unreleased cues from the film.

I am putting it all together for a two disc release.

Ah, Highlander 2.  I have such mixed feelings about this movie.  It's completely cheesy, but for some reason I can't explain, I love it anyway.

I have seen The Quickening version available (90 mins, I believe) which contains the mentions of Zeist and I believe it's the US theatrical cut in a full screen version.

I understand there was a French dvd release (Le Retour) which contained this same movie, but in widescreen?  I'd kind of like to have this turkey in widescreen and English, if it exists.  Does the French DVD also have an English soundtrack?
Please inform me, do you just need a region free DVD player to play it?
Just curious.  I'll hang on to my full screen version, but if widescreen is out there, I would be interested.
Thanks.

Too bad it has only italian audio.

It seems to be the only version known to be the european non english theatrical Version. The german theatrical release and DVD seems to be based on that, but is censored serveral minutes.

The french DVD from TF 1 is stated to have a running time about same time as the UK disc, and is stated to be in Full screen, as far as I can read the miniature picture on amazon.

The Widescreen release seem to be the Renegade Version.

Edit: Found an image of the backside of the french US theatrical DVD, and it states widescreen. Could not read the other picture well enough.

I have all the DVD version in addition to Italian and French.
Theatrical producer is on another DVD with English 5.1 sound.

There seem to be two different German DVDs (well, three, if I count the Renegade Version in a Highlander 4 Movie Box, that only has german subtitles, and was as add on to the Highlight DVD Version in that box), if I read the ofdb.de Information correct.

One with German 5.1 and 2.0 Audio and Running Times: 93:35 Min. (88:41 Min. w/o Endcredits) from Arcade Video/ Highlight

The other with German 5.1 Audio and Running Times: 95:56 Min. (91:04 Min. w/o Endcredits) from Concorde

Maybe the Concorde release is the same Version as the Italian release. (The italian VHS is stated to have a running Time of 96:10 Min. With studio logos and such it could fit to the Concorde DVD release...

Running times and Audio Format infos taken from ofdb.de.

Does anyone know if these are stil live? I’m specifically looking to add Early European and American Cut to my collection. I already have the Special Zeist and Extended Zeist editions.

I tried reaching out to Mitch via PM but no response as of yet. He’s either swamped or no longer active here?

Thank you very much, booshman! Downloading now 😃 I was hoping you’d have both copies (European and American). I have the TF1 DVD myself, but I’m afraid to watch it lol with all of the aforementioned sync issues…

Does anyone else happen to have a copy of the Restored American Cut?

Probably the only people you are going to get that from are Mitch and Phineasbg. Neither of whom have been active on the boards recently, so you may be out of luck there, for the time being.

Someone on MySpleen uploaded a LaserDisc rip of his Highlander II copy, which was the base for their Restored American Cut, so I’ve got that for the time being 😃 Thanks again for the upload, boosh!
