Is there a version out there that has only one change? The change i’m after is the 97 ending the rest of the film is the same as the theatrical. Does this edit exist?

I've never heard of an edit like that - but if it's any consolation, it shouldn't be too difficult to do that yourself. There are tutorials here and over at FE.org if you need assistance.
I still do not have a source for the 97 edits.
This is out of my comfort zone however but I love the grand ending and new music . Not keen on yub nub.
This might be what your looking for. Couldn't say for sure though, haven't actually seen it.
That actually precisely fits what Prog5000 wants, DominicCobb. It's too bad that that edit is offline these days, both torrents and file-sharing sites.
appears changes were made to jabbas palace. thanks anyway.
It puts in Lapti Nek over Jedi Rocks but it's an album version so it's... kinda awkward since it lacks the ambient noise of Jabba's palace.
A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em

The only person who can make "your" cut is you! =P
someone with skill could sort this out very quickly.

I can think of two solutions:
Solution 1: Someone with minimal skill (including myself) could probably make this change. That includes Prog5000, I assume.
Solution 2: Get Dark_Jedi's V3 and one of the many '97 SE versions recently made available. Watch DJ's up till you see Luke about to set his dad's corpse aflame. Press the eject button on your DVD player. Remove V3 and insert '97 SE. Use the menu selections to find the scene you are looking for. Press play, and watch from there. It takes slightly more time, but it's probably faster than going through the trouble of editing a film for a 90 second clip right at the end.

Can't tell if serious, but I lol'd either way. ;-)

Solution 1 or 2?
number two.
So you watch the movie on a tv or computer, then pause to watch select scenes on youtube, then skip ahead past the part you don't like?
Honestly that seems like a ton of work. It would be pretty easy to learn some simple tools to edit out what you don't like, and it's a lot more likely than someone doing it for you.
