Molly did a transfer, but I don't know if she ever actually released that one... check the "Vaultbreakers" thread.
A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em
Oh sorry, i`d found the topic :-)
Many thanks!
Ok, Molly did never released her version..
I had found on the internet a 2 CD-Version of a Laserdisc preservation of Lion King but the file is broken and the releaser is probably since years no longer on. So i`d tried to repair the file but failed. Also i didnt find someone who has this file..
I could probably look for and upload my unvarnished rips.
I'm out of DVDs and I'm seriously pinching pennies for now until I get some stuff taken care of so I can't do more caps and try something like noise averaging. Also, I'm not good at authoring.
drf... where are you xD?

That would be great Molly! It would bridge the time until i can arrange a new LD-Player for me, cause i have the CAV Discs but no chance to watch.
Has anyone done a Lion King preservation project in Bluray quality?
And please, can anyone tell me how can i search in this forum? Isn't there a search button?
I have asked this a couple of times before.,.
I'm always searching in google to find threads here (putting the title of movie I'm interested in, and originaltrilogy)
On you-know-where, I found a workprint version of "The Lion King" that was sourced from VHS. PM me for details.
Currently enjoying Disney Infinity 3.0

Excuse me? I know what you’re thinking of. It’s the original theatrical release. Plus, I reckon there are some elements that have been changed as the rest of the Walt Disney Company created a well-restored copy “for the first time ever on Disney DVD”. And considering the rest of the elements of the initial release except some have been deleted in the Special Edition release, these deleted elements taken from the initial release and 1995 UK VHS tape considered for the Special Edition are to have well-restored colours on screen.
Behold the link for the re-release changes page taken from fandom:
https://lionking.fandom.com/wiki/The_Lion_King_series_re-release_changes
The rest of the elements you know in the 1994 initial release column in the left of the table from fandom should be digitally remastered reducing the level of dreadful shaking, dust, grain, scratches and any other sort of unnecessary dirt on the 35mm film with yet the same colours as the 2011 Diamond Edition Blu-ray disc and 2017 Signature Edition. And, uh, hopefully, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will be completely impressed with that. Therefore, the question is: Where on earth do they ever sell the initial release on 35mm film on eBay?

That’s not what he was referring to. There’s a 73-minute work-in-progress version of The Lion King that used to be available on a private torrent site.

This would be great for uncommon horror movie nights, which I consider this to be.
