I loved this movie and am very angry that the DVD of it is LONG out of print and goes for insanely high prices on ebay (Over 100 dollars?!). Does anyone have a copy of this? And I heard numerous rumours about a 2-disc edition in Germany in the Region 2 PAL Format and also a fan-made 2-disc set. I would love to get the Germany one but I have an NTSC Region 1 TV of course, living in America. Anyone have anything on this film?

The German version is a two pack of the MST movie and This Island Earth uncut. I keep hoping for an deluxe edition down the road with the cut scenes, or maybe a workprint from before the test audience screening from hell forced them to dumb things down a bit. The movie has been spotted on youtube recently.

I actually picked up the barebones R1 dvd for like $10 a few years ago at Suncoast (best purchase ever at that store), and I still have it and watch it at least once a month. The only problem is that it IS available on dvd, though extremely OOP. Otherwise, I'd offer to make copies, but that would result in me getting a warning or being banned on here, so I can't do that.

And when I say barebones, that's what i mean.

It was released on Laserdisc too. If you have a player already, copies pop on Ebay now and then. The promotional VHS copy, (made for video stores) has a version of the trailer on it and different box art.

I'm just glad I was able to get a copy on VHS ome time ago.
