Help: looking for... Extended Star Wars fan-edits ?

There have been numerous deleted scenes released and collected from various sources.

I.e. Star Wars Bluray

the Cd-Rom: Star Wars - behind the magic

a rare video-cd in Lucasfilm’s EditDroid format containing a whooping 30 minutes unreleased scenes

see here

and there are various other sources

I wonder if there ever will be a Star Wars edit (collection) containing as much deleted/alternate material as possible. And I’m not talking about the Pulp Fiction style edit.

Even black and white scenes could be inserted and very very simply colored. I mean if desert is yellow, sky is blue and flesh is beige thats enough not to be distracting

Has anyone ever edited the deleted scenes from bluray into a movie?

I would really like to see such stuff as the original introduction inserted with Luke on Tatooine watching the sky above, the sandstorm scene and lukes lightsaber assembly in it’s proper context.

It would also be very interesting to see an edit where scenes are re-ordered in it’s chronological integrity. A good example would probably be Adywan’s recut Obi-Wan scene. Just to give you a alternate view on the same movie

Is there anyone who has made (or plans to make) an HD version of the Prequel Trilogy with all available footage included? I don't believe ADigitalMan ever released his extended editions in HD, so I am very curious about this. Revenge of the Sith in particular benefits greatly from having the deleted footage put back into the movie.

With the digital release from Making of Star Wars as eBook some 30 minutes additional film material has been release (per movie I guess)

This is some rare footage never to be seen before and it sure stirred up the one or the other fan boy.

I wonder if this material will be used by either Adywan, Harmy or any other fanboy to make a further extended edition or alternate fan edits.

This material has been released one day after I've started this post.

Go for it!

It's not that rare now...

Who knows but the picture quality isn't that good is it?

Ryan or TMBTM seem like better candidates for using the material in an edit as consistent picture quality isn't an issue with a virtual workprint or something as radical as The War of the Stars.
