No, that is what I was saying, if I had access to a DVD recorder or a digital recorder or a capture device on one of my computers, I could get you all those shots pretty quick. I really don't have anything of the sort. I don't even have a VCR anymore. Honestly, somebody here has got to have a capture device and 64, maybe you should make a request in some of the other sections. I am sure there is a number on this site who never even check the preservation section. Maybe someone in off topic would be willing. If I were you I would post the request in the video games thread, being as it has to do with wanting somebody to play a video game for you. That is a very lively on frequently viewed thread too.

I'm actually having a bit of luck capturing the cut scenes using the emulator and a screen recorder, but I could do with some of the gameplay, so if you'd like to capture a complete run through that would help a lot

You should use Fraps(www.fraps.com) to capture. You need a pretty good PC otherwise you will get a slow down when running the emulator.
The free version places a "Fraps.com" @ the top of the video The paid version(can be found on torrent sites ) offers higher quality captures & no watermark
This sounds pretty cool. I love Shadows of the Empire and it would be nice to have some of the various media tie ins on one disk rather than shifting through my collection, as I tend to do from time to time.
I too love this game. I had no idea there was a difference between the N64 and PC versions.
I have the PC-CDROM and after spending a good night on google there seems to be no easy way to extract the video cut-scenes. I tried it with Dark Forces II and it worked okay except everything is not centered on the screen. It was chopped in half. Some of them didn't even have the audio. I was just playing around to see what would work.
I'd like to make a DVD with cut-scenes from Dark Forces 2 & Mysteries of the Sith. Shadows would be awesome.
The dark forces 2 disc is pretty good. It's just a shame that the source materials are a bit underwhelming through 2007 tinted glasses.
Davey - are you actually planning on putting SOTE together as a movie - or just a compilation of the various resources? Sorry if you made this clear already but I skimmed over and I'm not certain. In any case if you manage to put it together with as much live and care as the bounty hunter - beyond the game project it'll surely be awesome.
any plans in the near future to get back to yr red dwarf ideas?

As for MOTS, not sure if it had cutscenes, did it?
Mysteries of the Sith's cut-scenes are computer-generated instead of portrayed by live actors. ... I found the answer on Google. I thought there were live-actions scenes. I was wrong
Where might I find this DVD you speak of for Dark Forces 2..? I would be interested in adding it to my collection of various fan-edit films.
I've got a copy of it somewhere but I have absolutely no idea what I've done with it. I only watched through it once. If I find it i'l let you know but I've already had a pretty good look. I got my copy [in the mail] from Klokwerk so I assume he still has a copy. Outside of that I'm really not sure.

was trying to capture the cutscenes and animations from the N64 version of the SOTE game. I had some partial luck with an emulator but the game was just to tricky to play

thats too bad. surely there is someone around who is good at the game that we can get these? was it a function of you having to use the keyboard? you can pick up a USB controller pretty cheap. I wish I could help, as i have gotten quite comfortable with screen capture, I am a horrible gamer, so I dont think I am of much use.
I was very much looking forward to this project, hopefully we can figure out how to get those captures somehow
