Help Wanted: Request - Star Wars episodes IV, V, VI & 1997 Special Editions

Hi,

Someone have the Star Wars episodes IV, V, VI of the 1997 Special Editions, digital captures, ideally in ts containers of the broadcast German DVB TV stations or at least the “Gkar” or “TB release” that can upload to myspleen or PM me.

There was the Reivax version of ANH floating around a while ago. It's french, with burned in subtitles, but not terrible. I don't think they ever released the other two films though.

Dark Jedi also made a set of the '97 SE from the laserdiscs. They might be on myspleen, but I don't know for sure.

I got the 5 Star Collection Wide Screen Enhanced versions I stupidly bought on ebay before finding this great site. I can see about getting approved to upload it to myspleen and I can keep it there for about a week seeded, but hopefully someone can take it over after the week is up. I turn my PC off during the day and night, but would be willing to leave it on 24 hours for the week. If you guys are interested, let me know.

As far as the movies themselves?

the 2004 release was a more extensive restoration

I'd love to see this. If you can't get upload permission on myspleen, maybe you should try demonoid or piratebay.

OK, I have them ripped to my hard drive. They're each a dual layer dvd (not compressed), so if you guys need single layer compressed let me know. Also, what torrent site would be better to post them on? I'm inclined to post them on piratebay since it's wide open, but I don't know if demonoid has more traffic even though you have to be registered.

For speed of download single layer compressed would be my shout.

Piratebay is as good as any other.

I'll be grabbing these sl ones but i'd like a set of dl too so if you ever get the chance to post those I would download them, and piratebay gets plenty of traffic, but if you want to post to demonoid but arent registered then I can help you out!

Can you post them either on MySpleen or on a tracker that one doesn't need an invitation to access? While MySpleen requires registration, at least one can register on one's own. I want to be able to get these!

And it would be really cool if both a dual-layer and a single-layer release could be put up, as has been mentioned before. I know that's potentially a lot of work, so it's understandable if you'd rather not go through the hassle of doing both releases. But it would be nice to at least have both available -- not only for download times and hard drive space, but also for those of us who don't have access to dual-layer burners.

I can't wait to have these!

Re-ripped them as a single layer and will post tonight probably to demonoid. They do have more traffic then thepiratebay right?

Am I allowed to download them from Demonoid if I haven't registered with them? And if I can't, can someone help me get registered (I'd need an invitation, right?)?

My apologies for the double post.

I'm currently downloading, and it's going to take a while (at least a week, if not a lot more, at the rate it's currently going. Perhaps if more people hop on the swarm, it'll go faster?). I took a look through the file list, though, and I noticed that there aren't any covers or disc art included. Where might I find these?

Yeah, unfortunately I'm the only one seeding right now. When I'm not online I'll turn up the connection speed so hopefully it'll go faster. I definitely noticed a drop in my speed if I leave it above 25kbs. Today I worked from home, so I had to turn it down. I'll definitely leave it seeded till 24 hours a day till at least a few people are seeding as well.

I tried scanning them in but they didn't come in too well (I didn't like the flap). If someone wants I can try doing the labels. I figured someone might want to try redesigning the covers since I thought it won't print that well with the flap like that. They can take a stab at labels too if you guys want to use mine as as reference.

I also wanted to let people know that it seems my vonage (VOIP) is affected by the uploading. When I try to talk during it the connection is all broken up. As soon as I stopped it for a few minutes, it worked fine. I don't talk much on the line, but if it goes down that's just because I'm talking on the phone. I'll turn it back in when I'm done. Hopefully this will go a lot smoother once we get a few seeds out there (I'll leave it up 24x7 till we get a few too and as I said before turn off the cap when I'm not online).

Finished DLing these, will seed ALAP.

Couple of things. On the ANH Menu, it says "The" New Hope, was this a deliberate creative decision?

Is anyone else have read errors when trying to view the trailer on the ANH disc?
