Help Wanted: Original Scores - Resquest for the RSO SW & ESB 2-LP VYNIL SETS audio form for remastering work (completed in March 2009) — Page 2

Have to say, this is sounding amazing guys! And although I really can't wait for your remastered scores ABC, I would also like the original LP recordings as I'm a bit of a collector. I don't mind uploading them myself if you can get them to me somehow. I could either torrent it, as I've got a pretty good repor on demonoid.com, or possibly FTP.

Obviously all credit would go to you, I would make it very clear that I was simply a host! :)

 You just give me an idea... Would you like to conduct the new topic for this remastered set ? Time is the reason I haven't make any for these scores. But first you have to listen one of them to see if you consider it is worth ;).

As stated before FLAC rulez. I have the star wars anthology set in flac. It just dominates the wav versions i have. sadly most movie editing software doesnt support it.  But LP to flac would be so amazing. It is a shame coporations use MP3 as their codec of choice. I hate Ipods coz they dont play my flac collection which comprises of music I actually like. And Itunes doesnt have official releases that play flac. Winamp is too quiet and you get too much of the computers noise (is this my sound card maybe?) im saying clicking and hiss even when nothings playing SORRY IM A NOVICE WITH THINGS LIKE THAT. I would love to hear A digital version of the original LPs. All the lps I own are quite worn but they have a deeper mellow sound to them. especially the quadrophonic releases. Did star wars make it to Reel To Reel coz that is some flawless sound.

Good idea, yea I'd do that. But yes, I would like to listen to at least a sample, even though I'm sure it is worth it. So just start a new thread promoting your remastered scores? How would you get it to people?

I don't know what people think of torrents but if you find a decent enough private torrent site then it can be quite good channel to give to people. On the other hand I don't mind taking the time to upload them onto megaupload, I mean I'm only at uni, I've got loads of time! =)

If this future thread withers I will keep posting in there to keep it alive. Maybe it could be popular enough to become a sticky thread.

The problem of this actual thread is the title... It is not a search any more ! ;) ... And there's so few to remaster on Seventiesfilmnut's recordings that I' m now more in the idea to share the pure versions.

@ Beatho - I may start a new topic to present my scores, giving the right warnings about them (I mean for those who think you can hide every loss, like a painter would hide the underlay ! Dreams of perfection !!!). I can upload them to Megaupload and share the links by PM and rely on you to make it so, but once the links will be over I won' t upload again.

Then I would rely on you and on any people who would be kind to preserve and share the links again. I' m sure there will be always a person present from time to time on the topic to help others, as some did for me on Adywan's edit topic. Whatever it is shared by torrent or other ways, I don' t mind. I don' t ask for special credits neither: I' m just passing through, like anyone on the Internet ;) However, I will be calling that the XS versions at least for the topic because of the logo I put on my backcovers. But mostly credits to 7FN for the LP's will be appreciated, especialy if it is shared outside the place.

I'm going to prepare this for soon, the time for me not only to upload, but to find my remastering notes, and to find the right words to tell what is to be. Cheers !

I cant wait for this release Vinyl rules. I do love the size and simplicity of copying cds but Vinyl has that warm sound. strings like the cello really sound good on vinyl

I finally made my mind for it. Both the RSO and my remastered 2CD's versions from the soundtracks are uploading right now, and I' ll introduce them in a thread for both of them. Watch it out this week-end.

The RSO recording versions I choosed to post are the pure versions (untouched).

Oh Christmas comes early this year. Thanks alot I am looking forward to these babies. Now I can get rid of my anthology flac set.

 Woah ! I was searching this old thread everywhere in the preservation forum ! Here's were began the adventure I'm currently achieving. My eyes are wet.
