Help Wanted: 'Jurassic Park: The Lost World' - Extended Cut 1080p - will anyone do this?

I’m sorry if by chance this is a repeat of another thread. I looked for a search function, but can not find one. I also went to the HELP page, but alas there isn’t one. So any anyone can point me to a search function that I overlooked, I’d sincerely appreciate it being pointed out to me.

With that being said, I’m looking for the extended version of The Lost World: Jurassic Park that includes 2 cut scenes shown as cut extras on home video releases. If memory serves correct, this version is also shown on FOX TV from time to time.

In addition, it is my understanding that there was a UK Double DVD box set of the first two Jurassic Park movies released in 2000 that had even more deleted scenes included.

I would love to have an extended cut to include at least the 2 cut scenes shown on TV before as while they weren’t necessarily needed, they did show more involvement of the background of the story.

Is there anyone that can create this from the Blu Ray?

I don’t think such a project exists on here mate. Though there are a couple of Jurassic Park projects listed in the Index Thread which may be of interest?

The HELP page does now exist though - and has for some time, along with tips on how to search - and other useful info as well.

There are also links to other sites which may prove fruitful in searching for you are looking for.

The ‘How do I do this?’ on the OriginalTrilogy.com may be of some help too - especially for performing searches

Good luck with it mate.

I have read the help… I don’t see any other sites, and I can’t find any search function here. As far as I know, you are right, there is no project listed for this…this is why I asked in my response if anyone might be interested in doing so.

There are a couple of Jurassic Park projects listed in the ‘Index thread’ - here

Towards the end of the Help section it says…

If you have any further questions, or have any more questions you would like to see added (and answered) to the ‘Site FAQs & Info’ section above, then please post them in the General Assistance section, here - link.

You’ll also find some more useful info in there too - such as ‘How do I do this? on the OriginalTrilogy.com - some information & answers to queries…’

Just what exactly are you trying to direct me to…? I find the info utterly off topic and therefor utterly useless for my purpose. I’m asking if someone is willing to create just such a version…

That there are two Jurassic Park projects which may be of interest being linked to?

and this link has a list of other sites which may be worth a look at…

https://originaltrilogy.com/topic/How-do-I-do-this-on-the-OriginalTrilogycom-some-information-and-answers-to-queries/id/60848/page/1#1208187 - they may have a project that you are after, or similar projects, or one of interest for info - as well as people who may also be willing to undertake such a project.

Good luck with it.

I don’t think they included more than those two deleted scenes on a DVD edition and then discarded them for others. Unless anyone can confirm that more deleted scenes exist in the UK double disc box set from 2000, we have no way of knowing.

I have an Australian double pack with some deleted scenes in it. Most likely the same as this UK one. I can check if its desired.

@Bobson Dugnutt, Sure. Please check and let us know if there are more deleted scenes than those two for The Lost World.

There is just 2 scenes on my DVD of some Ingen executives discussing the girl attacked on Isla Sorna and Roland in a bar in Kenya.

I’d assume these are the 2 scenes that have already been discussed.

The HBO broadcast was cropped 1.33:1 but properly colour timed, and the footage matched that of the movie proper. However, also limited to VHS resolution.

The deleted scenes on the DVD (the same released worldwide) are 1.85:1 OAR, but in bad shape, with lots of film artefacts.

Unfortunately, I doubt either sources will splice very well to a proper restoration.

I can make a quick and dirty cut without proper resteration of the scenes if it’s wanted.

Won’t look the greatest, but it’ll work.

The 1.33:1 version is open matte, not cropped (film was shot in 35mm 4 perf). And the deleted scenes are in (open matte) 1.50:1 (16:10), not 1.85:1. However, the deleted scenes have the original colour timing of the 35mm photochemical prints, since they are direct scans from the film reels.

If memory serves correct, an extended version is shown from time to time on a Fox cable channel in HD. Does anyone have that?

You could cap it and make it yourself. This is lazy.

I actually would, but I have neither the software, hardware, or expertise to do so. If you could make those accommodations, I would be MORE than happy to, and grab many others that are of interest to you and anyone else.

Thank you so very much! I look forward to seeing it when it’s available.

Thankyou for the correction. You’re quite right.
