series 2 and 3 of digimon have been made available on hulu with the japanese dub and English subtitles. as i am in the UK i cant record it. anybody want to cap this?

I'd recommend looking up a program called "StreamTransport". It looks like that can get what you're asking for pretty easily.

Doesn't work for Hulu anymore.

GetFLV does, but...

Molly's right.  GetFLV will let you directly grab the stream without crappy screen capping.

I don't know what the BUT is though.

Maybe you could use a proxy? Wikipedia says that people outside of the USA and Japan can use these to access Hulu. Here's one:

When IGN owned Direct2drive TOEi sold the sub streams you are trying to capture there.  Is there nowhere you can buy these now?

using a web proxy does not work at all,is there anybody willing to cap this in the us?

FYI, TubeDigger is a nice GetFLV alternative and its $25 (I think).

In order to use a proxy with these capture programs you must set up Internet Explorer to use the proxies (not the capture program or your preferred browser). 

They interface with IE even if you are using something else normally.

I just purchased and downloaded TubeDigger on your recommendation...it's truly an excellent program, and does indeed download Hulu videos without issue. Very recommended for the $25 it costs.
