Have you met or seen someone from the Star Wars universe, and props? — Page 2

I've only met Peter Mayhew and that was at FanExpo in Toronto in 2010.

I've seen, but not met, Anthony Daniels and David Prowse who were at FanExpo in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

I got to be an extra on "K-19: The Widowmaker" in 2001, and got to spend a couple days on set and saw both Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson up close a number of times. I didn't get to meet them though.

There was a movie prop exhibit that came a local museum last summer and they had some cool props from the Star Wars films like Luke's severed hand from ESB, his lightsabre, and X-Wing pilot suit, a Stormtrooper helmet and rifle, and a Vader suit and helmet used for stunts.

I usually don't tell people this, but last Saint Paddy's Day, during an insane pub crawl, I stepped out into an alley to pee and ran into Sebulba. As I recall, he actually tried to eat my liver. Not a very nice guy. Freaky looking too, the way he walks on his upper limbs and all...

Jeez Wolfman, are you secretly George Lucas?

I met little Boba and Matt Woods, voice of General Greivous, as ComicCon. I actually had a pretty decent conversation with Woods, seemed like a neat dude.

Isn't he the guy who doesn't know sound mixing from his ass?

I went to a screening of AMERICAN GRAFFITI that had George and Gary Kurtz on a panel afterwards. I said hi to George in the lobby, they both seemed like really  cool guys.

I had the chance to meet Prowse at Celebration 3, he had a very uninspiring little signing booth and was sitting alone with no one in line for an autograph! It was a slightly sad looking scene so I went over and talked to him for a bit. He was really nice although because the floor was so damn loud I could barely here a word he said. One thing I caught him saying was that he was unhappy with the location of the booth. I asked him if he was tired of hearing the Imperial March every time he's introduced anywhere and he said "No, it's all great!"

When I was 5 years old I lived in Japan and my dad took me to a word-touring Star Wars museum somewhere in downtown Tokyo in 1993-94 ish. They had everything at the event and it's one of my favorite memories growing up: OG land speeder, Star Destroyer models, Millennium Falcon, Executor, Death Star and most of the costumes.

I briefly met Kenny Baker in 2008 while working as a PA on a TV show for G4 at Comic Con. A group of us were standing around talking to him while he sat in a tall chair and the producer asked him if he'd be willing to do some segments with Anthony Daniels to which he replied in his deep and raspy cockney accent "Not a bloody chance" and "I never do interviews with that fuckin' pre madonna queen" True story. Think of the last time you saw Kenny Baker and Daniels do an interview together, or ever saw them onscreen anywhere together besides the films. Can't think of any can you? Apparently they despise each other! Baker's statement made me laugh so hard that I had to leave the area for a few minutes to regain my composure.

Wow, it doesn't seem like Prowse was getting a fair shake from Lucasfilm. He isn't even invited as a guest to Celebration anymore these days?

Re: Kenny Baker and Anthony Daniels... there's a show called "Bring Back Star Wars" that came out 4 or 5 years ago.  Basically, this guy tries to put together a reunion of Star Wars actors.  It's true, apparently Baker and Daniels despise each other.  The whole show is on youtube, definitely worth a watch.

Anyone remember different camera angles from ROTJ?

Yeah Justin Lee Collins did a few 'Bring Back' shows (A Team was good), I remember JLC running in to Dave Prowse in Soho......"raise eyebrow"

Carrie Fisher Interview with JCL:

At the 6:05 mark Carrie goes into telling a story about how Harrison Ford once tried to "scare" her by hanging himself by the neck with his tie in her wardrobe.... while naked. Did she just out Harrison as being into auto erotic asphyxiation? What the hell?

Anthony Daniels is a known egocentrist. It's a wonder more people don't speak out about it.

I, too, saw "When Science Meets Imagination" a long time ago. Long time. I wasn't too impressed with it as a kid but I think I was looking for more interactive exhibits. Also, the 3PO they had on display was all-gold. That bothered me because it was shortly after the first time I noticed he has a silver leg!

That actually looks very similar to the exhibit I saw in '93. The star destroyer bust should have a little Millennium Falcon attached to the back right?

Are those really the original character miniatures standing atop the Sail Barge transport? I've seen better likenesses on action figures tbh...

Carrie's either a total comedic genius or the biggest mouth in Hollywood. Or both.

Yep, that's one of the original Skiff models. Two were built. One size at 81x46x30cm and a smaller 40x10x14cm.

Here'a another picture I took closer up.

Looks a bit rubbish really.

I never liked the sail barge explosion it just looked fake, especially the stop motion on the skiff characters.

Chewy's bandolier looks like it's trying to escape the model itself.
