Has anyone created a cover for Star Wars - The Mysterious Mysteries Version?

Has anyone created a cover for Star Wars - The Mysterious Mysteries Version? It could really use one. I have been trying to create one of my own, but I'm starting to realize that my Photoshop skills are severely lacking.

So is there anyone out there who would be kind enough to help me out?

Thanks for reading my post.

Can you post what the current cover looks like (if there is one) or give us some idea what it's all about?

Welcome to the boards Jedikev!

Bossk, unfortunately there is no cover for this particular DVD. I downloaded this masterpiece from the incredibly cool Bit Torrent website known as www.myspleen.com. Essentially, the DVD attempts to recreate the original theatrical version of Star Wars.

This version is known to many as the "Pre-A New Hope" version. Genius editor Magnolia Fan has also created his own PRE-ANH version of Star Wars, but I have not seen it yet.

The Mysterious Mysteries version is fantastic. There are so many subtle changes that you cant possibly catch them all in one sitting. Its a real history lesson and a great work of film preservation. It also made me realize that George Lucas was busy changing things even all the way back in 1981, which is when "A New Hope" was added to the opening crawl.

The best part about this DVD? It has BOTH versions of the opening crawl, the ORIGINAL Theatrical Version and the 1981 A New Hope Version. You can switch back and forth at will using your DVD player "angle" function.

There is a ton of information available on this DVD over at myspleen.com. Unfortunately, at the time I wrote this post, I could not reach the website in question. Hopefully, it will be back up soon and we all can talk more about this amazing DVD.

I believe this is now official known as the Editdroid version.

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

There are covers for this set. They were posted on a usenet group about a week ago and Grisan is going to have them on his site when he updates. If I had some webspace, I'd put them up for now, but I have none. If anyone has some they'd be willing to let me use for these, speak up.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

I dont have a website, but I do have a PhotoBucket account. Would that be of any help to you?

EDIT: Its now called the Editdroid Version? I'm starting to get confused.

I've got Photobucket, too, but the files are too big to host there, if you want the full quality versions.

The covers were posted by the anonymous creators, who also wished that the set be renamed from the slightly ridiculous "Mysterious Mysteries" to "EditDroid."

I see. I didnt know until now that PhotoBucket had a space limit. I guess you can tell that I dont use my PB account much. Hopefully Grisan will update his site soon.

Now, ReverendBeastly, I was wondering if I could ask you a question? You mentioned that the EditDroid Star Wars was part of a set. Can you tell me more about this set?

I just use generic covers.

Im not the Reverend...but when Ritker first posted this set there was no contact from the creators...since it was a 'mysterious mystery' ( ) as to where it came from he dubbed it the mysterious mysteries version.

the creators then came forward stating that they would prefer that it was called the EditDroid version. So Empire was released under the heading of EditDroid (as will Jedi when that gets released). So Mysterious Mysteries is the same as the EditDroid. EditDroid is the official name.

hope that helps clear things up for you

Thanks for you help and information Darth Simon.

I must say that I greatly prefer the name "Editdroid" to "Mysterious Mysteries," lol!

After seeing the Editdroid version of Star Wars, I am eager to see the rest of the ED trilogy. They really did an incredible job on their Pre-ANH SW.
