Anyone ever reconstruct the SW Celebration III 'preview' of ROTS?

I swear I watched that thing a million times when I found a couple cam versions of it.  I was floored in the auditorium and simply couldn't get it out of my head.  The music was great and the video just was very well put together.  Once the DVDs came out I ripped and copied the video frame for frame and stitched the audio track together as best I could.  It's not perfect, but it was a lot of fun and tedium at the same time.   If anyone is interested in it, I can upload it somewhere for viewing pleasure.

Anyone else take on the endeavor to remake this piece?

I'd like to check it out. I remember seeing this at C3 and being excited by what I saw. Ah, the power of editing.

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

I'll see if I can get a version up online tonight.  It'll give me another excuse to watch it again! :)

It's basically a 3-4 minute teaser for EIII they only showed at CIII in Indy.  Lots of clips throughout the movie set to various musical pieces, ironically none of which were by Williams.

Thanks for sharing. Neat to see that. Sounds like the Van Helsing soundtrack to me.

Where were you in '77?

Yeap, Van Helsing was a large portion along with Iron Will, Courage Under Fire, Virus, and Mishima.

Lucas has an executive producer credit on Mishima, so interesting coincidence.

That is the longest teaser trailer I've ever seen.

Thank you very much for recreating the Celebration III Spectacular, J2E.
It was such a powerful experience to sit in that panel back nearly ten years ago, surrounded by SW fans, getting to take in minutes of never before seen footage.

I found it interesting that in the cam shot material, there's an edit as Yoda beheads Gree and one of his grunts. At the viewing I was at, the shot was shown in its entirety. Ever since I've been wonder if they took it out at subsequent viewings because of children attending, or if the cam footage skipped during that part.

Anyway, what I am most curious about is which track is used during the opening seventeen seconds. I love that score, but even after years of trying to find out and asking around I have not come up with an answer. I watched Iron Will and listened to the Van Helsing score for this very reason, but never recalled hearing it in either.

Glad to do it, I was homebound for 2 days after some corrective eye surgery and had some free time. :)  Mostly put together with Premiere 6.  I bought the Iron Will and Van Helsing scores solely on hearing them at CIII.  Enjoy them both immensely.

I found a list that I probably used as a loose guide for my track listing.  I know the video is almost frame for frame the same, but I was a bit more loose with the audio.

So it's Mishima! Thank you so much! I was not aware of how many edits were made to piece together the final track used for the Episode III Spectacular. Again, thank you for the effort you put into recreating it, J2E!

Yeah, I definitely didn't edit my audio that tightly. It was good enough for me as it was.
