Ah great! I asked for the V1.5 some time ago via the email in this post, but got no answer. Should I proceed in the same way this time? I had the V1.5 in an old HDD which sadly, died, but I didn’t have your link for them. Thanks in advance
PodracingThisIs91, I sent you a PM.

I haven’t grabbed this yet, but seeing the YouTube trailer, I have a question.
In Prisoner of Azkaban, early in the movie Harry eats a candy that makes him whistle and smoke like a steam engine.
The deleted scene that’s been added back, Harry eats a Pepper Imp from Honeydukes, which is different.
“They are actually quite fiery in nature, not only creating a chilli like flavor, but also actually allowing the consumer to breath fire. As a result, smoke also leaves the nose and ears making for quite the hilarious sight.”
It looks like he blows a smoke ring now in the trailer. You didn’t go with fire? Did you add any sound effects to go with it?
Dr. M
Sorry, but I must not have followed the reference that you quoted. I did not go with fire or sound effects. The audio in the scene never specifically says what the candy is or what the result is supposed to be, but in PoA Ron says, “It’s this sweetshop,” said Ron, a dreamy look coming over his face, “where they’ve got everything. … Pepper Imps — they make you smoke at the mouth,” which is what my scene shows. Guess I somehow still screwed that up, although I’m not sure how exactly since my scene shows exactly what was quoted in the book.

Hello,
just sent you an email, thanks in advance
https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Pepper_Imps
It’s minor. The smoke is STILL so much better than nothing.
Dr. M
I saw the reference on that wiki page. My reference came from the PoA book with what Ron said. There is a conflicting reference in the same book with what the label on the Pepper Imps says. My edit covers what Ron stated.
It shouldn’t be a big issue, but calling me out on it for what you see in a release video puts me on the defensive. I was already called out less than an hour after I released the announcement video by someone not thinking I did a high enough bitrate on these versions. Sometimes being a fan editor is just thankless because there is always something else that someone thinks should be changed instead of being thankful that they were released the way they are.

Hi got your earlier versions of the Wizarding world franchise ( v1.5),would love to be able to grab the latest versions if possible, thanks.
Joak Movies made an attempt to restore the scene in question before he suddenly disappeared from YouTube. From what I remember, he did a bang-on job. It was originally made for his own series of HP fanedits called “Harry Potter Revisited” (no relation).
“The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.”

That version only did smoke too.

Hey, I’m just thrilled that scene is finished. That and the rabbit scene were always hard to watch untouched. Besides, no one in the scene calls them Pepper Imps, so for all we know they aren’t.
As far as bitrate, I always like higher, but since I store these on my HDD, not burn them, it’s acceptable.

Hey guys.
Someone can send me the links for the HP saga please ?
I will really enjoy it if someone will do this.
Thanks a lot.
(Of course, i won’t publish this links on another forum etc)
looking for a link to the updates please.
Can I get a link to your 2.0 edits please? I have the 1.5 versions and would like to update them.
I’ll repeat this yet again…I DO NOT provide links to those that ask for them in the forum. You should not be requesting them that way. If you go back to page 1 of this thread, you will find some needed information.

Thanks alot for another great release 😃 I’ve already enjoyed v1.5 with my girlfriend alot and we were really excited to see all the deleted scenes on the right places in the movies. Now we can enjoy those which had green screens too in v2.0.
Two ideas for your next version (if you’re gonna do another version):
Thanks for your hard work!
Thanks for the recommendation on the translation service for subtitles. I will give it a look.
For info on my HP edits, read the first post in the thread on OT.
You could also get the community involved in providing the subtitles. I mean, official subtitles for the theatrical versions exist, right? So you just need them for the new scenes. Or… How much work would it be to commision real language speakers to contribute?
And as far as that Trelawny scene goes, I remember some old fan edit using both the theatrical and the deleted scene, by just going back and forth between them, having a bit of each.
I don’t think split-screen would be fitting, it could just get very distracting.

I can translate in French the added scenes for your French subtitles, if you want.
But if you have a detailled hustory log of all changes of scenes/cuts/adds we could gives you proper updated audio and/or subtitles in the language you want.
I will translate everything to Portuguese-Brazil, since i already did for 1.5, now it’s time to do 2.0.
If you want, i can send you my subtitles when it’s done, with proper translation without Google Translator.
I’ll accept any translated subtitles as replacements for the Google Translate ones.

do you have a preferred subtiles format?
SRT. The Google Translate ones should have all of the correct time codes, so you could take those, pull them into a subtitle editor, and update them from there.

just to be clear, are your subtitles files completly google translated, or did you have the official translated subtitles to get started with?
