Well, it's not really that far fetched, seeing how collarful some people's grasp of their own language can be ;-)

Huh? In Czech it definitely isn't - it's "Já jsem tvuj otec" with a little circle above the U in tvuj :-)

That's what I meant, circles are not visible in dubs. :C

I feel a bit foolish because of the question that I'm about to ask, but here it goes...

I went to tehparadox and downloaded all of the RAR files for the MKV version. The extraction process doesn't work. 7-Zip says something about file corruption. So, I wanna go the Jdownloader route. But, I don't know where to begin. Do I have to be sent the link to the download?

Did you type the password in when you went to extract with 7zip? They're password protected, which will be listed on the tehparadox page right underneath the links and stuff. It'll probably say they're corrupt during the extraction phase unless you type it in. I know with JDownloader it returns an extraction error once the DL is complete unless the password is entered.

If that doesn't work, with JDownloader open highlight all the links as one big block on the Tehparadox page and hit Copy, they should automatically all copy into the JDownloader interface, no pasting needed. Then you can just hit download all or whatever button it is in JDownloader.... but I'd try the password thing first before you waste all that time.

Yes. The extraction process goes all the way to 94% complete, and then it stops and gives me a message about file corruption. And, now that I understand how Jdownloader works (yes, I am a noob), I suspect that I'm going to run into the same problem. Hmmm. Thanks for the response.

Just stopping in to say thanks, Harmy, and everyone else whose work made these great releases possible. :)

Did you check your file sizes? All parts (except for the last one) should be identical in size. Any part that's a different size needs to be re-downloaded. This happened to me when I was downloading the Star Wars Despecialized Edition.

If it stops after 94% it usually means that either the last or the last 2 parts or so are corrupted (check the sizes)

I solved the problem. I had downloaded Part 39 twice, and even though I deleted one of them to ensure that I didn't have duplicates, it apparently became a problem because I had kept the duplicate and not the original.

Thanks for the assistance, guys!

And, a massive thanks to Harmy!

Seeing how we're on the topic of tehparadox and jdownloader, I have a question for the next time I use it.  Is there a way around having to answer a CAPTCHA for every single part?  Not only does it get old fast when there's 41 of those things to answer, but jdownloader only seems to want to grab up to 20 parts at a time, so I have to come back whenever midway through the download is so I can answer 20 more, then come back again to answer that last one.  It is fine if that's just the way it is, but if there's a way around it, the smart people here are sure to know.

I just paid the 8 Euro or whatever is was for the 40gb of Uloz premium, then I just typed my Uloz login info into JDownloader... no more CAPTCHAs.

I'm that lazy.

That's why I recommend Free Rapid Downloader. I get better speeds from uloz.to and there's NO CAPTCHA! Probably their OCR is better than the one built into jDownloader

Guys I need help. Ive been downloading the MKV from myspleen but the torrent has stopped at 80.1%. Any suggestions?

Just downloaded this, and wow. I had watched 1.0 and didn't think there was anything to improve upon, but whatever you've done has restored some extra "spark" to the movie. I just opened the file to take a peek, and I kept getting sucked in and just watching it, unable to turn it off. It finally "felt" right. Like I finally "felt" the movie in the same way that I used to. This is now THE way to view ESB. Thank you so much.

I was just wondering about one thing... Since you've done such an awesome job restoring the original color palettes, in v2.1, are you planning to restore the original, more kinda dusky bluish undertones in the Falcon's approach to Cloud City (as seen here)? I always loved those shots, and hated how the SE just drenched the whole frame in this cartoony super red. It altered the mood—the original just gives me this sliiiightly eerie feeling, but the SE palette feels warm and cozy. It's lost that edgy feeling of night encroaching, the contrast of warm AND cool.

The SE colors are so "crushed" to red that the original colors probably aren't recoverable from the Blu or HDTV footage, so maybe this isn't really a feasible request.

Yes, exactly, I really tried to make those colors better but artifacts started popping up. Plus, on the other hand, the GOUT is too discolored.

Chewtobacca made an NTSC DVD5 of v2.0 ESB and I must say that he did a great job and for an SD DVD it looks really good!

It only has one audio track (hairy_hen's 5.1 @ 448Kbps)

It is now up on paradox :-)

Sorry, I grabbed it from Paradox, but, if you have the bandwidth...it's also available if you do a search for 'harmy' on ThePirateBay.

And if you want the others, search for 'despecialized' on the same site.

Sorry to go a bit off topic here but I need some technical help with interlaced video in AE. More here.

Aw well, figured as much. Thanks for your effort! Maybe someday, with Team -1's footage.

Yeah, I'm really hoping to get 35mm sources for this whole sequence for v2.5.

I just got around to watching version 2.0 today and can't say enough good things about it. A friend popped in right during the end and was commenting on how good it looked just from the last few minutes of the film. Thank you for all that you do, I just want to be able to hold on to these memories of the things I love and enjoy. I gets harder the older I get to really have that sense of wonder that these films gave me growing up, especially with all the tinkering that Lucas has done to them over the years, this really brought out that sense and makes me ready to see what you do with Jedi now!
