Excellent, thanks very much!

Does anyone know if there has been a bd25(or 50) of TESB and ROTJ for the despecialized editions?
I know Star Wars has been released by njvc.
Again, it is not hard at all to make something from the MKVs that’ll burn to a BD and play properly. But if you must have menus and lower quality audio, then no, there aren’t custom BD25’s yet of those films, I doubt anyone will put one out of Empire until after v2.5 comes out anyway, and Jedi hasn’t been out very long.
It takes literally less than 2 minutes to convert the MKV to a BD compatible file system (whether that be folders, or an iso, or whatever.)
Ok.that’s fair enough. What programs does that the best:
tsMuxER, multiAVCHD, other?
I do have the mkv’s
By the way have you seen these news:

I personally use tsMuxer, but I’ve had the program for a long time and I’ve heard when trying to install it now, from its newest .exe, it attemps to install a lot of turdware during the installation (didn’t do this when I installed it). Just be sure to use the advanced installation if you go that route and uncheck everything you don’t want - don’t let it do its own thing.
Using tsmuxer you just simply add the file and the output the file in a BD friendly format (like iso for example,) click a button and you’re done. Use Imgburn afterwards to burn it to a BD.

Yeah, it’s a beautiful release. It was completed by an account/team here and you can read more about it:
They’re also working on a Technicolor scan release, which looks even better based on the previews they’ve released so far.
The Negative 1 release is different than the DeEd release and both have their advantages and disadvantages. The -1 release is very much like watching an actual projected 35mm presentation (complete with the occasional pops, specks, flecks, and stuff you’d see inherent to older celluloid) but it is very much an absolutely “pure” presentation of the original film (and the aforementioned “flaws” add to authentic filmic feel of the presentation), complete with one original theatrical stereo English track. DeEd is a more “pristine” presentation by way of “meticulous intervention” on Harmy’s part, with many audio options (like the Hairy Hen DTS MA surrounds track), language dubs, and more resolvable detail, etc. Both are fantastic and absolutely worth it, but in my opinion “worth it” in such different ways that both are must-haves and one doesn’t render the other obsolete or inferior in any way, shape, or form (like, say, v2.5 of DeEd renders its previous iterations obsolete.)

It certainly looks authentic filmic; however, the sound is GOUT.
Lazy team, was lazy . . . or rushed, as the case may be.
Cue Towne to scold my bad attitude, but I couldn’t resist using that meme
However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

I can’t decide whether to scold you for that or for using a circa 2008 internet speak. Or for calling it a meme.

You may know this, but you can get lossless versions of the 70mm surround and 35mm stereo mixes synced up with it on the Spleen. The latter makes for by far the most authentic recreation of the experience watching a 35mm print of Star Wars in 1977.
If I may ask, why are L8wrtr’s prequel edits (and only L8wrtr’s edits, among the various available) listed on the Ultimate Guide?
chyron just put a big Ric pic in your sig and be done with it.

Or usenet.
Yeah, I’m stuck in the '90s

You’ve been told multiple times never to correct me in front of Frink. You know how much it upsets him.

What Ultimate Guide?

That’s 2008 internet speak?
Lazy Lucas, was Lazy (note the specific capitalization) was something skyjedi wrote once that became an ot.com meme. Vote For Palpatine even made a sock named after it.
Seeing it again brings warm feelings to my heart.
He’s referring to “(Adjective) (noun) was (same adjective)”.
Oh.
Well, the skyjedi one is the only one that counts here anyway. :p
Okay, I didn’t know the OT relevance, but even that was based on the ‘long cat is long’ et al. phrasing.
STOP GANGING UP ON ME I JUST NEEDED SOME DRUGS FROM CHRIS R
I went to a relative’s house tonight for a family get-together because my cousin was in town. My cousin works at Disney, on the software for Disney Movies Anywhere.
I was talking to him about Star Wars, and he told me about how, a week before TFA came out, people in his office there at Disney dragged a bunch of chairs and couches from various conference rooms into one large room and watched all 6 Star Wars movies on a projector.
And when they watched the Original Trilogy, they watched Harmy’s Despecialized Editions. In an office at Disney.
No joke.
chyron just put a big Ric pic in your sig and be done with it.
That’s awesome!
